Part 27

Adrian's POV

I went back to the Philippines to win her back. I talked to my secretary and told her to give Keisha a message about applying in our company. I told the HR to pass her during the interviews and exams. Yes, I planned everything.

I also asked my secretary that I'd be the one to give a final interview to Keisha. I was really excited to see her again. The moment she entered my office, my heart beats fast and it was shouting her name. I wasn't looking at her yet. I was sitting on my chair while looking at the beautiful view outside our building. But I could already feel her presence.

Sinubukan kong magpaka cold habang kinakausap si Keisha para maibsan ang nararamdaman kong kaba.

"Are you confident to work with us?" I asked her.

"Of course, Mr. President." She answered. Napakunot ang noo ko nang sabihin nya ang Mr. President dahil naalala ko ang mga nangyari noon.

"I mean sir." Sabi nya nang mapansin ang pagkunot ng noo ko.

I really missed her.

Gustong-gusto kong lumapit sa kanya. I want to kiss her, hug her and tell her that I still love her so much. Pero baka kung ano ang sabihin nya. Ayoko muna syang madaliin. I think I need to give her time.

"Okay, so are you still single?" I asked. Of course I'm curious if she already had a boyfriend.

"Y-yes, sir." She answered. I wanted to smile because of her answer but I just hide it.

I tried to tease her and I succeed. Gusto kong matawa sa reaksyon niya pero baka mainis siya kaya pinigilan ko ang sarili ko. She was blushing due to awkwardness. She's really cute and still innocent as usual.

Pagkatapos ng interview ko kay Keisha, mabilis syang lumabas ng aking opisina. I missed her already kahit kakalabas pa lang nya.

I can't stop smiling while imagining her reaction earlier when I received a message from someone.

It's from Camille, my childhood friend na nagmigrate din sa Canada. She texted me that Mom and her is here and they're talking to Keisha right now.

I didn't expect them to come here. Baka kung ano ang sabihin ni Mommy kay Keisha kaya agad akong lumabas ng opisina. Alam kong hindi maganda ang huli nilang pag-uusap noon kaya bigla akong nag-alala. And also Camille, she's kind of crazy and love to tease anyone a lot. She's a good friend though.

"She's here for a job mom." Sabi ko as soon as I saw them.

"Adrian, you're here! I'm just about to send my reply." Nakangiting sabi ni Camille at ramdam ko ang kanyang panunukso. Lumapit siya sa'kin at biglang hinalikan ako sa pisngi.

I'm right, there she goes. Napatingin ako kay Keisha na agad nag-iwas ng tingin.

"Mauna na po ako." Paalam ni Keisha. Maybe she felt awkward again.

Sinabihan ko sina Mommy na hintayin lang nila ako sa office. Gusto kong sundan si Keisha. I don't have anything to say but I just want to see her a little longer.

Habang nasa loob kami ng elevator, hindi ako mapakali. Gusto kong hilahin si Keisha palapit sa akin at yakapin. Pero naduduwag ako, tinitigan ko na lamang ang pinto.

"Congrats, ikakasal ka na pala." She suddenly said. Where did she get that stupid news? Paano naman ako magpapakasal kung hindi pa ako nakakapagpropose sa kanya?

I just keep silent. Napakunot lang ang noo ko.

"Saan kayo nagkakilala ng fiance mo? Infairness mukhang mabait at saka maganda rin." She said again.

Oh? I bet she's referring to Camille. Maybe mom told her. My parents and Camille's parents are arranging a marriage for us but the both of us know that we can't. Camille knows that I love Keisha and she doesn't see me as a man too.

"Stop it. You're talking about nonsense things." Nakakunot ang noo kong sabi. Naniwala ba siya sa sinabi ni Mommy?

"Naku! Aminin mo na. Hindi mo naman sya kailangang ideny eh. Siguro noong ako pa yung girlfriend mo, dinideny mo rin ako sa iba." Dagdag pa ulit niya.

"I said stop it, it's not what you think."  I said and looked at her with glaring eyes. I never denied her before. Did she really think I'd do that thing?

"T-teka, tatahimik na. S-sorry." Kinakabahan niyang sabi at unti-unti akong lumalapit sa kanya.

This time, I can't stop myself. Biglang nawala ang kaduwagan ko.

"You shouldn't have mentioned the past, Keish. It's tempting me, you know." Sabi ko at mas tinitigan pa siya.

"A-Adrian, a-anong ibig mong sabihin?" Tanong niya sabay ang biglang pagbukas ng elevator.

Her eyes widened and felt at ease but I smirked and close the elevator again.

You can't get away from this Keisha. You made me do this.

Lalo pa akong lumapit sa kanya at ng isang ruler na lang ang layo namin.

I kissed her. I really miss her.

"You know me well. Hindi uso sa'kin ang torpe at magpakipot, Kiesh. And.. I really can't control my feelings." Sabi ko at hinalikan ulit siya.

Napansin ko na nagulat sya sa ginawa ko but I wasn't expecting na sisipain nya ang --

"Sh*t Keisha!" Napamura ako sa sakit. Keisha was rattled because of what she did kaya bigla nya akong tinulak palabas ng elevator. Nag sorry sya pero hindi ko na pinansin dahil namimilipit ako sa sakit.

What the f*ck Keisha, you'll pay for this. Kung hindi lang kita mahal.
