Chapter 12

"Please help me welcome the beautiful and talented, Ellie Wilson!" announced Alan.

I walked out on stage and over to the microphone stand. Alan was sitting in his usual chair off to the side. I glanced over to the side of the stage and saw the lads. They were all giving me a thumbs up. The look in Louis' blue eyes said it all. I can do this, and I'm gonna do it for two of my best friends, Nick Hale and Lilly Adams.

The music started to play and I sang with all the emotion I had.

"Mmmmm...Yeah. Yeah. Mmmmm..."

"We are friends for life. Hold that deep inside. Let this be your drive to survive. And just stand high and tall. Make sure you give your all. And if you ever fall know that I'm right here."

The chorus is always the part where I get teary eyed, but I can't ruin Lou's masterpiece. This is going to be interesting.

"We'll always be together, don't you worry, oh. I'll always be by your side, don't you worry. Don't worry, no no no. The circle will never end. Just know that we'll meet again. And we'll always be together, forever always, oh. I am here."

"Find me in the sky. Dancing with the moon and night. Your heartbeat is disguised as my lullaby. Be happy and know that I'm watching you travel far and wide. Waiting for us to meet again..."

"We'll always be together, don't you worry, don't you worry. I'll always be by your side, don't you worry, don't you worry. The circle will never end. Just know that we'll meet again. And we'll always be together, forever always. Oh... I am here."

"If you need me, yeah, I'm in the wind. Look for me friend, I'm in the stars. When you need me, the heavens will send a message within. Straight to your heart... Oh..."

"We'll always be together, don't you worry, don't you worry, no. I'll always be by your side, don't you worry. Never worry about a thing, no no no no no no no. The circle will never end. Just know that we'll meet again. And we'll always be together, forever always. Don't you worry. I am here. I am here. Yeah. I am here. I am here..."

Applause filled the studio. Everyone in the audience was smiling from ear to ear and standing. Alan was practically praising me from his chair. I glanced over to the boys again. They were smiling and applauding like everyone else. Louis looked like he let a tear slip from his eye.

This song was difficult to write without having a break down, to be honest. I wanted to write a song for Nick and Lilly for as long as I can remember. When I finally did, Adam Levine helped me with it. I told him stories about all the fun times I've shared with them and how I left them to come to America. We ended up writing a song that basically says Don't worry about anything. I'll be there for you no matter what. I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. I'm surprised I didn't cry this time. I usually do, but I suppose the pressure and happiness of performing on the Alan Carr show got to me.

It's been a while since I've talked to Nick or Lilly. Maybe they're watching the show. I'll have to call them or something after I leave.

"Ellie Wilson, ladies and gentlemen!" Alan shouted. He got up from his chair and hugged me. I pulled back from him, and he had a wide grin plastered on his face. "How are you, darling?"

"I'm great. Yeah, things have been great," I nodded.

"That's wonderful." Alan lead me over to the couch and I took a seat. He sat down in his own chair with that smile still formed on his lips.

"For those of you who do not know Ellie, she was on the American singing competition, the Voice, not too long ago. Now, did you win, Ellie?"
