❦ Chapter 33 - Unpredictable

Athena Heights and Saint Ferdinand united to make a tribute to Pulse by recreating Sia's "The Greatest", and it came out amazing.

Tahlia, Melody, Aylin, Julio and Evan were with the group and they did amazing.

Once they finished, a pair of freestyle dancers danced for a bit before the finale was announced.

Rupert and Melody walked on stage where two stools and two mics with their stands stood. Melody held her violin and Rupert held his acoustic guitar.

After quietly greeting the crowd, Rupert started to play his guitar.

Rupert began to play his guitar as both him and Melody sat on their stools with a mic in front.

Rupert sang for a bit, Melody playing her violin.

Rupert's a really good singer, and I see him definitely taking a career in a band or something one day.

Same with Elias and Tahlia, they were great singers, too.

Both continued through the song, and what surprised me was when Melody opened her mouth.

"So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while

It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right,
I hope you had the time of your life...." she sang, Rupert joining her at the chorus.

"She can sing," I said with probably the biggest smile on my face as she continued to play the song through her violin and Rupert continuing to play the guitar.

Her voice was so soft and peaceful...... Her voice suits her name perfectly, because it was just beautiful.

Soon the song ended as they both sang the final line together and the crowd cheered, and I immediately stood up and cheered for Melody

"THAT'S MY DAUGHTER!!!" I cheered on.

"Go Melody!!" Alice cheered.

"WAY TO GO, MINI JINXX!!" CC shouted as the guys decided to try and have a cheering contest with the entire crowd.

She smiled and waved at us as the curtains closed.

"She's an amazing singer!!" Alice said in surprise.

"I know," I said as moments later it opened to show the performers taking a final bow as the entire audience stood up and applauded them until

*Melody*

"Amazing show everyone! Great job!" Miss Fleur exclaimed happily as we all gathered our things and I exited the room, changing out of my dance clothes as another girl went in to change.

"You and Rupert did amazing," Holly smiled

"Holly's right, you're an amazing singer, Melody," Rupert said.

"I don't think I am. Tahlia is definitely a better singer than I am," I said as we got to where she packed her things and I went ahead to pack mine.

"Hey, don't be modest," she said as she got up and held my hands. "You did amazing tonight."

I smiled and blushed as she leaned in and kissed my lips softly.

I kissed her back as she we hugged each other.

"Get a room, ladies!!" Evan shouted with a laugh as he helped someone bring in some equipment.

"You're just jealous because we have one!!" Tahlia sang, making everyone burst out laughing and shouting "ooohhh's" as Evan flipped her off as I hugged her back, blushing furiously.

After the laughter calmed down we went back to packing our stuff.

"I'm going to the bathroom
I'll be right back," I said.

"Alright," Tahlia said as she closed her bag.

I stepped out of the hall, greeting some people who were leaving the show and congratulated me before going to the girls bathroom just across from the music room.

I then see there was an Out of Order sign on the door and I groaned, turning to go to the next closest one near the staircase.

Thankfully it was open and I went in.

Once I finished my business, I went to the sink to wash my hands.

I turned on the sink when suddenly someone grabbed my hair from the back of my head and before I could even react, my head is suddenly smashed against the mirror, everything immediately going dark and quiet...
