TRIVY'S POV

"There was this girl in our new school..."

I stopped from my reading when I heard Yuo speak. Ibinaba ko ang binabasang libro at tumingin sa kanya. His attention is still on the ball he's holding. He keeps on dribbling it but never did an attempt to shoot it on the ring. We are in our backyard at the moment, killing our time by doing our usual habit.

Yuo stopped from dribbling hid ball and turned to me. His usual smirk is on display. Right then I knew the girl is screwed up.

Dala ang bola sa na nakasipit sa kanyang baywang at braso naglakad siya palapit sa akin. He sat beside me where there's a vacant chair. Di ko siya nilubayan ng tingin kahit nag-ipis pa siya ng tubig sa baso at nilagok iyon ng dalawang beses. I don't know but I am interested about what he's going to talk about. More like I'm interested to the girl he's going to talk about.

You and I have been friends since grade school. If there's someone who knows Yuo more, it's me...and his twin sister, Tia. Yuo is the type of person who never gets interested in someone in particular. And him talking about a girl right now is a must know.

"This girl is different. You know why?"

"Why?"

Pero imbis na sagutin agad ang tanong ko isang malutong na tawa ang natanggap ko mula sa kanya. I just stared at him. Minsan, naitatanong ko sa sarili ko kung sino ba talaga sa aming dalawa ang may depirensya.

I patiently waited until he stopped laughing.

"Why? Because this girl wears a thick rimmed glasses. Her hair is messy and her fashion belongs to the different era. In short, a nerd.", aniya at sinundan ulit ng isang malutong na tawa.

My book fell from my hands after I heard his words. Nanatili parin ang mga mata ko sa aking kaibigan. My hands balled as I stared my laughing friend.

No. It can't be. She...

I saw Yuo how he tailed the girl. And I saw how the girl avoided him. But my friend is King of Persistent. Until one day...

"Tri...Tia, meet my girlfriend, Andrea Aviles."

I stared at the girl in front of us. Her expressive eyes behind her thick rimmed glasses seem to be unsure about the situation she's in. I extended my hand to her. Narinig ko ang mahinang pagsinghap ni Tia sa aking tabi.

"Trivy Fuentes.", I introduced myself. I know she knows me. And I know she knows that I know her.

Nawala ang pangamba sa kanyang mga mata at napalitan iyon ng tapang. Nakaangat ang isang kilay niya na tumingin sa aking nakalahad na kamay. What? Aren't you going to shake my hand, Miss? Are you afraid? Or...are you mad?

I know Andrea Aviles hates me. She did not tell me about her negative feelings but I know. I can feel it. I can feel it the way she gives me dagger looks. The way she raises her eyes brows and the way she pouts her lips after reading the results.

I'm sorry, girl. But it's the only way I know...

Nagulat ako ng tanggapin niya ang aking kamay. I tried my best not to shake as our palms collided. Damn. Her palm is soft and warm that contradicts her persona. Andrea Aviles may look a sheep with her façade but for me she's a tigress that will bite you and scratch you if you are in her way.

And I'm willing victim to be bitten and scratched.

"Tri..."

I felt Tia's hand seductively tracing my chest with her finger. I stared at her. The smudge of her lipstick is everywhere on her face. We made out when our study became bore. Tia and I are secretly fucking each other and his twin brother knows it but didn't do anything about it.

I know Tia wanted more, she always wants more. But she doesn't deserve my more. I couldn't give it to her. Tumayo ako at kinuha sa sahig ang aking uniform. Isinuot ko iyon. After buttoning my uniform naramdaman ko ang pagyakap ni Tia sa aking likuran.

"I hate Yuo's new girlfriend. She's ugly...and smart."

I didn't like what I heard. I feel my blood came rushing through my vein and went to my head. Marahas kong tinanggal ang mga braso ni Tia sa aking baywang at humarap sa kanya. Maraahas kong hinawakan ang kanyang braso. I know I look danger right now because I saw fear in her eyes.

"Don't...ever...mention...that...girl...in front of me.", I said, gritting my teeth. I let go Tia and without a word I stormed out from her room.

I don't like hearing anything about that girl.

I don't like hearing things that couldn't be mine.
