I’ve always wondered what it felt like to be normal.
I didn’t want to have this ‘gift,’ if you could call it that.
I hadn’t told anyone about why I wore gloves, and no one had ever asked. Somehow, the rumour had spread and now everyone in the school knew I had to wear them.
“Could I borrow a pen?” He said and indicated the spare pen in my gloved hand.
I looked down at it, only just realising that I’d picked it up, before pushing my fingertips to the bottom of the plastic and pointing it in Jamie’s direction with the other end. He carefully took it from my hold and smiled before turning back around.
That was the only contact I ever had...
