Okay so I'm still on my iPad but hopefully I'll be able to finish this chapter before I need to move to get the train back home.. Probably won't happen but we shall see!
----------------
I was nervous as I waited for Kai to pick me up to take me to this party. I didn't know when he was coming but I had a feeling that if it wasn't soon, I was going to back up out of the whole idea. I didn't really want to go to this party and risk contact with people. I also didn't want to miss the party and lose out on a chance to enjoy my life with what I had.
Kai had text me saying he was coming round mid-afternoon but that could mean anytime. I didn't even know what to wear to see him. I'm sure he wouldn't judge me on whatever I wore but I still wanted to make sure that I looked okay for him. For some reason it seemed like a kind of date, even though we were just going to a party together.
We were still friends, right?
He hadn't made a pass at me and he'd been nothing but friendly so I was wondering whether he did feel something towards me.
Then Adam's words came into my head from last night and I calmed down. Of course, if Kai wanted it to be special then he'd pick the right time to come after me. Though he was quick to get close to me, he would probably slow it down when regarding a relationship.
By 2pm I was sat on the sofa flicking through channels, only half listening as I waited for him to show up. I still hadn't heard anything from him but I knew it had to be soon otherwise I wouldn't have time to come back and get changed after doing whatever we were going to be doing.
My mum had gone out, probably with Richard, so I was currently alone. The house was too quiet for my liking, especially as I'd gotten used to having noise around me. I was a bit bummed out to wake up and discover that Adam had disappeared but I didn't blame him. The longer he stayed, the more likely he was going to be caught, either by my mum or by Kai. I knew he didn't want to cause a scene and he was probably doing it for my benefit but, at the same time, I would have liked to have said goodbye to him before he escaped. I felt like I needed his reassurance for Kai today.
At least I'd see him later.
The bell rang and I jumped up to answer it, slamming the door open in my haste. Kai stood there, smirking at my reaction, before he shuffled himself inside. "Hey beautiful."
"Hi."
He slumped onto the sofa as I quickly shut the front door and joined him. He still had his joking manner, clearly, but something was off. I wasn't quite sure what it was but I wasn't going to pry. I had a feeling he may have been nervous about something. Maybe he was nervous about taking me to this party?
"We have a few hours to kill. What would you like to do?" He wiggled his eyebrows at me and I giggled like a stupid girl, curling my fingers into my lap shyly. "Well," he grabbed my waist and I squeaked as he dragged me to sit me onto his lap, "you best think of something because I know what I'd like to do. Home alone, are we?"
I blushed at his suggestion and nodded very aware of his fingers gripping my sides. He adjusted me on his lap and his warmth spread through my body like a tidal wave. "Um...we can go to the park?"
Kai cocked his head to the side when I turned to face him and then shrugged. "Sure. Right now, though," he wriggled me on top of his lap and I let out a laugh,"I'm feeling quite comfortable here."
I smiled, the blush never leaving my face, as he bounced me on his lap and then pushed me so that only my legs lay on top of him.
His fingers came out to brush my cheek and I bit my lip, causing him to groan and tug my lip from my grasp. "Gorgeous, please don't do that. The temptation is too much."
