CHAPTER 72 Real Stand

**DWIGHT’S POV**

“Mom she’s all I got here! Don’t let Dad send her home,” I told my Mom over the phone.

(Dwight, you have me. You can always go back here at home.)

“I know, I know. What I mean is, she’s really helping me with my dilemma and I still can’t manage to be with Dad at home.”

(I am also trying to help you because I know how important Zoe is to you…) she heaved a sigh and continued, (Okay, I’ll talk to him. I’ll try my best.) It really saddened me to think of how I left Mom at home. I know she can’t leave my sister and Dad but I just don’t like to be far from her for a long time, I mean, she’s a very good mother to me. She has to deal with this because of the fight between me and Dad and I think that’s unfair.

“Thank you Mom. Don’t worry as soon as everything’s settled, I’ll go back home.”

(Hindi ko lang alam kung kailan papayag ang Dad mo na kausapin and Dad ni Zoe. Sweetie, let’s just hope he’ll realize how that will help us all.)

“I’m not losing hope.”

(NEXT DAY)

Late ako pero hindi ko nakalimutang tignan ang bulletin board kahit na mukhang nagsisimula na ang klase.

Hindi ko akalaing kinakabahan ako dahil sa ganitong bagay at lalong hindi ko akalaing aasahan kong makapasok sa ganitong activity.

I wasted no time and looked at the casting for the boys at once.

And then I saw my name parallel to Robert Phillip.

Fuck. I don’t know if I should back out already because of the embarrassing things about to happen or just be grateful about it.

Dric was not in the main cast but he is included in the extras or the elites that will dance in the ball.

I entered our classroom and looked at Zoe, she uttered the words, “nakita mo na?” which I know is pertaining to the casting. I just nodded my head as a response which got a huge smile from her.

Immediately after class, it was announced that all the casts will have a meeting.

This is the beginning of my burden.

Jet, Ryan and my other friends and classmates are teasing me about the whole thing after they found out about it.

Yeah right people, I didn’t see it coming too.

They are very happy and proud of Zoe – except for Beatrice, of course – they congratulate and gave her motivating words. Actually, they are proud for the both of us, they are glad that the lead characters are from our class.

Miss Perez told all the casts, including the extras, the schedule of rehearsals. We have more or less a month to practice this big event and that means I have to undergo a lot of dramatic acts everyday… but that also means I have the chance to always be with Zoe, which is my real purpose of being here.

**ZOE’S POV**

“Text mo na Mommy mo na male-late ka ng uwi starting today,” Dwight told me after Miss Perez announced that the rehearsals will start today at the auditorium, after class.
