CHAPTER 30 Wanting to Move On

(recess)

Kinukulit ako ni Rence at Zac na sabihin ko na yung problema ko. Wala pa akong balak sabihin dahil baka anong maging reaksyon nila. Pero since nahulaan na din ni Zac na si Dwight ang dahilan, siguro nga dapat ko ng sabihin.

“Zoe, tell us the story!” pangungulit ni Rence.

“You can always stay hushed, Zoe. Don’t mind Rence,” Zac told me.

“Don’t listen to Zac! I know he also wants to hear it.” – Rence

They’re talking like the other is not around.

“Okay! I’ll talk,” I gave in.

Rence grinned and said, “start :)”

“Dwight and I haven’t been in a relationship,” was my introduction to clear things up. “But he said he likes me and I feel the same. Until we started hanging out then suddenly he disappeared.” I don’t want to elaborate every single detail so I made it shortcut.

“What do you mean disappeared?” nagtatakang tanong ni Rence.

“He didn’t show up for the whole summer vacay,” I said.

I knew this would be another question and answer portion.

“Where have he gone?” Question by Rence.

“He went to Europe.. without telling me.” Answer by me.

“Why?” Question by Rence.

“He doesn’t wanna go. He was confident that he’ll convince his Dad but he was forced. He was there for his training for their company. He’s his dad’s successor.” Answer by me.

“Why didn’t he just inform you about it when he got there?” Question by Rence, again.

“His Dad confiscated his gadgets, so he didn’t even called or texted.” My answer.

“Stupid!” Zac reacted.

“We have talked and he said he didn’t want that to happen,” I explained.

“Of course he’ll say that, Zoe!” Zac said, sounding pissed. “He’s a dimwit! He doesn’t even think of some ways to stay connected?” Zac asked.

“He e-mailed me once, saying he misses me,” I said.

“Have he explained everything through that mail?” Another Rence question.

“No,” I simply answered.

“See? He should’ve grabbed the chance!” Zac said, angered.

“I agree with Zac,” Rence concur.

“That boy doesn’t deserve you!” Zac told me.

“I don’t like him for you either,” Rence pursued.

“If you want revenge, just say it once and I’ll move,” Zac let me know.

Of course, somewhere inside of me, I want revenge. Just not in a Zac kind of way.  “No. No. I don’t want commotion.”

“Will you forgive him?” Rence questioned.

“I’m still thinking about it,” I replied.

“What!?” Zac snapped. “You should’ve just – “
