As I looked down the hole on the roof of the thieves guild, I couldn't help but notice it looked more like a house of a noble than a thieves guild. Fancy furniture was all over, and there were thieves lying around drinking and talking in large groups. I spotted Tamora at a table by herself, sipping on her drink, and I caught her glancing at Emaerelth, who stood next to who I assumed to be Herzago. The tiefling looked intimidating from here, but what caught my eye the most, besides his large form and black clothing, was the black scabbard with the sword hilt and handle made of bones. That most be the sword that has her soul. A table was next to the tiefling, and on it was the helm.
It looked exactly as Rattle describe it. The helm itself was copper, with paint on it to represent skulls, and it had two black horns on the front of the helm. I heard Venom whisper arcane words and when he finished looked at Rattle. "It has strong necromancy magic, the strongest I have ever seen." Rattle nodded.
"It would make sense for a vampire to come after it." He said, looking down the hole.
"Now how are we going to get it?" I ask.
"We could just use an invisibility spell and take it." Bukka said.
"True." Rattle said. "But with it being next to him, he will probably see it, and I have a feeling we may have to fight our way out."
"So we will need a distraction." I said. "I could just throw my bombs at the building." I had plenty of ingredients to make them, though I limited myself to a few. Now, I'm not holding back.
"How many can you make?" Bukka asked.
"With what I have, at least two dozen." I said. "Maybe more if I do it right."
"Do it." Rattle said. I pulled ot my ingredients and quickly made the bombs. I also pulled out two bandoliers, strapped them across my chest and slid my bombs into the loops. I've been meaning to wear these for a while now, but to be honest, I kinda forgot about them until now.
"Finished." I said. "Got a little over two dozen, so it should definitely be enough to get their attention and help us get out if we need to."
"And Bukka shall help as well." He said, drawing a wand.
"So while you get thier attention, we will sneak in, get the helm and get out." Rattle said. We all nodded, knowing what was at stake. Rattle and Venom whispered arcane words, and began to wave their ar-
"Don't finish that spell."
I turned around and saw at least 2 dozen thieves, maybe more, circled around us on the roof with loaded crossbow aimed at us.
"Damnit." I heard Venom mutter. "How the hell did we not heard them?"
"Herzago knew you were coming." I heard a thief say. "He had us wait out here waiting for you, with a little invisibility spell thanks to Emaerelth."
"But you already met her haven't you?" I heard another say.
Wait, how do they-I began to ask myself, but realized what happened. Tamora or Emaerelth must have told him. I immediately scolded myself, to think that I could trust anyone in the-
"Now come with us quietly." I heard another thief say. "The boss wants to see you."
I began to think of a battle plan. We've been in worse situations but this was definitely in the top ten.
"Don't do anything stupid kobold." I heard a voice whisper to me. "You wouldn't want to be responsible for her death would you? Not after the promise you made."
I immediately felt the sensation to look behind me, and I turned around looking down the hole to see Herzago holding a sword up to Emaerelth. I looked in her eyes and she didn't look the lest bit afraid, but when she looked at me, she looked scared. She was afraid.....for me. I saw Tamora and found she was equally afraid, if not more.
