"Where do you think this individual got such weapon?" Venom asked telepathically.

"I don't know." I thought back. "I can't even think of anyone that we faced off against that's still alive who hated, and tried to kill Jamada."

"Who could it be?" He asked as we flew on the Pterosaurs, early in the morning.

Once I woke up, I immediately told Venom of my vision, and we've been trying to figure out who it could be, but sadly to no avail.

"Have you spoken with Jamada about your....dream?" Venom asked, a few moments later.

"No." I said. "I don't need too, nor do we need him worrying. Should this opponent show itself, we will fight it like so many other beings who thought they were high and mighty. Need I also remind you of the recent troll camp we whipped out?"

"And should it get to out of hand, we have the gauntlet and Gazera to call upon." I continued.

Venom thought for moment before nodding in agreement, and we began to make small talk with Jamada to pass the time.

The day passed as a blur, as we flew over the never ending swamp, and occasionally landing to let the Pterosaurs rest, eat, or relieve ourselves. Soon enough it became close to nightfall.

However, as I went to land to make camp, the Quetzalcoatlus I was ridding freaked out, and flew back up into the air.

"Land you stupid beast!" I yelled as I tried to get it to land, but to no avail. I noticed that Venoms and Jamada wouldn't land either.

"Very strange." Jamada said once we got the beasts to calm down and hover over the area. "They don't want to land for some reason."

"Perhaps they sense something we do not." Venom said.

"Then let's go somewhere else." Jamada said, flying off.

By the time we found a large enough clearing to land, the sun already set and the moon was in the night sky. Jamada went to land, but the Pteranodon freaked out, and roared out in protest. It took him a moment to get it calmed down and hover over the area.

"This is getting weird." Jamada said, looking into the darkness. "I don't see anything that would spook them."

I looked into the darkness with my strong night vision eyes. Since I lived in the caverns of the lightless Darklands for 61 years, my eyes were more than strong enough to see the dark around me. Unfortunately, the only thing I could think of that could scare them was a raccoon looking our way that was some 36 feet away.

"I'm not sure." I said, looking back.
"The area around us looks clear and I don't see anything that might scare them exce-"

Behind Jamada, I saw some bushes move, and as I looked closer, I saw the silhouette of something in the moonlight.

"What is it?" Jamada asked, looking around.

"Something is here." I said. "We need to leave, n-"

A bright light appeared left of Jamada, and I saw with horror that it was a fireball and it headed towards Jamada.

The kobold saw the fireball coming, and tried to fly away, but the spell found its mark.

The blast of the fireball sent the kobold flying, and the Pteranodon to the ground on fire. Venom immediately responded and flew to Jamada, grabbed him and flew away, with me right behind him, with moments to spare as another fireball came out of the trees and flew behind me.

I had my Pterosaur fly as fast as it could, and it seemed the beast needed no encouragement.

"What the heck was that!?" I heard Jamada yell. I looked over and saw that he had some burn patches on his coat and scales, but other that he was fine, thanks to the small fire resistance the brass scales give him.

"I don't know." I said, but I already began to think of who it might be. "Let's just put as much distance between us and him." However, as soon as I said that, a lightning bolt flew between us.

I looked behind us and saw a dark humanoid figure with a cape, a staff in hand, and red eyes full of hate flying behind us.

"Oh no." I whisper.

I watched as it brought its staff around and shot out another fireball. I had the Quetzalcoatlus fly to the right and saw the fire ball fly past me. I heard the sound of electricity and had the beast dive, while Venom had his rise up and bolts of lightning shot past us. I turned around, extended my hand and shot out 5 missiles of magical energy at the figure but I watched as it stuck out the staff and absorbed missiles into the staff.

Venom pointed a finger at the figure and shot out a ray of intense heat at the figure, but this too was absorbed into the staff. Then, it stuck out its hand and a purple glow appeared on its finger and it shot out streams of magical missiles. We directed the Quetzalcoatlus to turned, dived, and flip to avoid getting hit. Once the last missile went by, or what I thought to be the last one, I turned around to see what it would do next, but saw that it was still unloading missile after missile.

We continued to dodge the continuous streams of magical missiles, and I went to cast another spell but I headed the sound of electricity. I had my Pterosaur fly up to let the lightning bolt fly by....but it didn't.

Ah s**t. I think as I feel the explosion behind me, sending electricity through the Quetzalcoatlus.

I held on to its shoulders as we dived. We crashed through tree limbs which slowed our decent a little bit, but it still hurt like hell.  Once we actually hit the ground, I was flung from the back of the Pterosaur, and rolled on the ground until I came to a stop.

I heard wing beats and saw the Quetzalcoatlus Venom was ridding quickly land, and ran over to me.

"Rattle!" Jamada yelled as he came over to help me up.

"I'm fine " I said, thankful for his help as I got up. "Just a little sore."

I heard a dark sinister laughter and looked up to see the figure hovering in the air above us. I prepared a spell to shot at the figure but it rasied it staff and a blinding flash appeared, and once it was gone, so too was the figure.

"Who the heck....what was that?" Jamada asked.

"I do not know." I half lied. "But it seems we are being hunted."

"So why did it not kill us?" Venom asked. "It probably could have with that weapon, but it did not."

"I don't know." I whispered, completely drawn to a blank.

"Well whatever the case we need to put as much distance between us and this area." Venom said.

"Uh guys." I heard Jamada yell. I looked over and saw he was next to my Quetzalcoatlus that crashed landed, dead.

"Great." I whispered. "What else can go wrong?"

As soon as I said that, a spear flew into Venoms Quetzalcoatlus, and two more in its back, dropping it dead. I turned to the source of the first spear and saw a boggard, a frog humanoid standing there with another spear in hand. I went to cast a spell on the frog but heard a loud croak. Then, another, and another.

I looked around and saw dozens and dozens of boggards appearing out of nowhere, holding their primitive weapons. They circled around us, ensuring no escape.

"Desna weeps." I muttered as the boggard hoard closed in on us.
