Rattle
He just had to open his mouth didn't he. I thought as the black dragon unleashed its powerful roar.
The dragon was huge. It looked as though it could carry a fishing boat no problem. Its smallest tooth was half my size and the biggest one longer than me. If it wanted, I'm sure it could eat all five of us in one bite.
"Destroy them!" Morrigan yelled. "And leave nothing of them behind!"
The dragon reared back again and I had a good feeling what it was going to do. We all quickly got up and got behind cover, minus the keketar, just as the dragon released a stream of acid from its mouth. I leaned out when it finished and saw the acid eat away the ground, moments where we just were. The keketar however was perfectly fine, with the acid rolling down its scales like water and I quickly remembered that they are immune to acid. I looked over on the other side of the street and thankfully saw the Jamade and the kitsune Tamora made it without getting dissolved. The keketar released a roar of its own as it charged the dragon, unafraid. It punched the dragon in the jaw, knocking out two teeth, but as powerful as a keketar is it was fighting a huge and powerful dragon. It raised up and bit the keketars arm and shock. Normally this would break and tear off a regular arm, but the keketar has very tough scales and is pretty powerful, and it only bled as if it were a flesh wound. The dragon then shock its head and threw the keketar into a building, making a hole in the foundation.
I stepped out, preformed the arcane gestures and shot a cone of freezing cold out from my hand. Part of the dragons scales turned white from the freezing cold and it released a roar full of agony. Jamada steeped out and started throwing bombs at the dragon, blowing pieces of scale off it body. I then saw my brother step out from his hiding place and shot out a thin green line from his finger at the dragon, the same line the keketar used. When the line made contact, it severely burned the dragon, revealing bone and muscle. I then noticed Bukka conjure a misty bow and shot a arrow at the dragon, and it burned away scales. The dragon roared again and charged forward, pulling up the ground from its charge. The dragon swung its head at Bukka, and he managed to dodge the attack from its head, but while he was in mid air, the dragon used its tail and smacked him away into Jamada and Tamoras direction. The dragon stood over them and I quickly pulled out my staff, tapped into its power and had it lift up some crates and barrels. I launched them into the dragon, getting it's attention, and it charged at me. I got ready to roll, when the keketar jumped from behind it and punched into hard, causing it to crash into the ground. While it continued its fight, I ran over to the others, as they helped Bukka up.
"Anything broken?" Tamora asked. Bukka shock his head.
"We can't keep this fight up for long. We have to take Morrigan out before he does anything else." Jamada said. Everyone agreed.
"We need to hit the dragon with everything we got." Venom said, and he was right. We were down to only a few spells, Jamda had about half his bombs left, Tamra only had her knifes, and...well, who knows what Bukka has up his sleeve, but we can't keep it up forever.
I heard the dragon roar and I saw it slam the keketar onto the ground, then it slammed its claws onto it. The keketar roared in pain and slammed its tail into the dragons side and part of its side exploded with electric energy. The dragon growled with anger and bite the keketar, shock it around, then threw it. It the drew its attention to us after Jamada threw a bomb, then me and Venom both launched fireballs at the dragon, burning it even more. The dragon reared its head back and I got ready with my element absorption spell, when a knife few by me and flew into the dragons eye. It roared out in pain and scratched at it, trying to get it out. Bukka stepped forward in front of me and drew out a metal rod. He pointed it up to the sky and lightning stuck the rod, then struck the dragon, burning away scales and sending it to the ground. The keketar hovered above the dragon, no doubt wanting to deliver the final blow, so I started to look around for Morrigan to finish hi-
I heard a roar and turned around in time to see the keketar crash into me and the others. We were sent back flying, and I felt my body hit the ground hard. I looked up and saw Moorigan hover down next to the dragon and look at us with red, furious eyes.
"I. Will. Not. LOSE!" He yelled and he stuck his hand out to the dragon, and a ring glowed on his hand and pink energy shot into the dragon, healing its wounds.
Ah Sh*t.
The fully healed dragon stood up and roared. Then, Morrigan gave an evil smile and electricity formed on his staff. I saw a light glow to my right and Morrigan launched a bolt of electricity, but then suddenly we were on the roof of a building.
"Well, that could have gone better." I heard the keketar say.
"This is not good." I said getting up.
"Anyone else think that he's just going to heal the dragon everytime were about to kill it?" Tamora asked. "Because I do."
"If we could just get to him." Venom said. "And get those artifacts out of his hands, we can end this mess."
"Which is pretty much impossible since he has a huge dragon body guard." Bukka said.
"So what are going to do?" Tamora asked.
"Do you think you can summon any more monsters to help fight?" I asked Bukka. He nodded and pulled out a dark red gem. He raised it up in the air, and suddenly I saw a shock wave of magical energy come from a part of the city and before I could say anything, it hit us but nothing happened.
"What was that?" Jamada asked.
"I have no idea." I said. "Everyone alright?" Everyone seemed fine, so Bukka raised the gem again and threw it to the ground............but nothing happened.
"Odd." Bukka said, picking it up. "It should have worked." He put it away, the pulled out a scroll and read from it, but when he was finished nothing happened. I looked to my brother, fearing the conclusion I came to, but just to be sure.
"See if you can summon something." I asked, knowing he learned a summoning spell recently. He did the gestures need and when he finished, a light blue portal appeared next to him for only a second, before disappearing.
"Damn. He's somehow making us unable to summon anything." I said.
Cleaver vampire. I heard a familiar voice say in my mind. "Not now Gazera."
"So...do you know anyone that you think can help?" I asked Bukka.
"I think I do." Tamora said.
Who could the kitsune possibly know? Gazra said.
"Who?" Jamada asked.
"Emaerelth." She said. "She can definitely help us." We all looked at each other and agreed, after all, it was something. Suddenly I heard a roar and I saw in the distance the dragon flying our way, with a figure flying next to it.
"We can't have that thing chasing us while were trying to get to Emarelth." Tamora said.
"Then we'll distract it while you go get her." I said, pulling out my staff. "Jamada, you better go help. She'll probably need it if she going to deal with the teifling." He nodded, and the two got to the edge on the opposite end of tell roof, then jumped off.
And why didn't you go Sankhamukha, instead of the kobold? Gazra asked.
"So that incase we don't make it, he can run to safety and find a way to stop him." I said truthfully.
Touching. The Pit Fiend said. But I think that will be unnecessary, because I found some information on how to destroy the Staff of the Magi.
"You did?" I said, rather surprised. To be honest, I didn't think he would find anything. "What did you find?"
Have you seen the staff absorb any spells?
"Yes I've seen it absorb spells, because they were mine, Venoms, and Bukkas." I said. "It has absorb quite a few spells why?"
Have you been keeping count?
