I saw fire scorched the vampires back, and he turned around, sneering and Seltyiel had his hands up, ready to cast another spell. "I'm not done with you yet cousin."
The vampire looked back to me and smiled. "Wait here. I'll be back for you." He pulled the sword out of my arm and attacked his cousin.
There's no way to stop him. He's gotten to powerful. We can't beat him. We lost. I lost. I....
I turned my head and looked at my friends behind the barrier. The look in their eyes screamed fear, sorrow, despair.
I can't give in. Not now. But.......how am I suppose to beat him?
Think, Damn it! Think! There has to be some weakness. I may not be a powerful sorcerer, or a strong warrior, but I can still fight. Your an alchemist for crying out loud! Analyze the battlefield and find something useful.
I watched Morrigans fight with Seltyiel and mentally wrote down what I know. He gets distracted and angered easily, and keeps his mind solly on the battle, nothing more. The book cant be destroyed, that much is certain, and it heals his wounds, albeit slowly.
Lets see....gets distracted easily......slow healing.....poor perception when fighting..............wait.
I have an idea.
I quickly drank a healing potion and felt the hole in my arm close. It still hurt like hell, but it wasn't bleeding. Instead of puting the glass bottle into my pocket however, I threw it at Morrigan. The glass shattered against his shoulder and he turned his head towards me.
"You must want a quick death. Very well, I shall kill you both." He muttered arcane words and I saw Seltyiel get thrown into the air towards my way. I took a step to the side and he managed to fix himself in mid air, and landed on his feet, a bit clumsily though.
"I have an idea." I whispered to Seltyiel. "I just need you to keep him distracted and keep hitting him."
"What do you think I've been doing? Having a f**king tea party with him?" He said.
"Just do it! Besides, the oracle said that if we have any hope of beating him we need to work together, so are you going to help or keep chatting?" I said, and a bit of anger appeared in my voice. He looked a me for a second before nodding.
We both charged the vampire once again and Seltyiel attacked him with his rapier while I carried out my plan. He didn't seem to know what I was doing, with Seltyiel distracting him, as I went around, underneath, and sometimes jumping on him. Thankfully he would swipe at me with his rapier, or try to hit me with arcane energy from the book, and didn't look back at what I did. Once I was finished, I pulled out my last draconic potion I had prepared, this one with red liquid in it and red scales and drank it. I could feel the back of my throat heat up and I exhaled releasing......nothing. What?
Then the flames came out. Not like its was designed to but the source of the flame came out of my mouth and flew into Morrigans hand. "Not going to work this time Jamada. Not again." He then said some arcane words and as the codex glowed, the fire from my potion suddenly activated. Seltyiel quickly got in front of me, and absorbed the heat of the fire. Seltyiel then quickly began an arcane chant but Morrigan beat him to it and summoned more of the red arcane tendrils, wrapping them around Seltyiels wrists and ankles. Before I could even blink, Morrigan flew up to me, gabbed me around the throat and slammed me onto the stone ground.
"I grow tired of this nonsense." He said and he slammed me onto the ground again. I heard something crack, and from the pain I was feeling on my left side of my rid cage, told me that a rib was cracked.
"And frankly I grow tired of you." He slammed me down again and I felt more ribs and a few bones crack. I was going to need more than a healing potion if I get out of this. If I get out of this. I felt Morrgians cold, decayed hand grab me by the collar and held me in front of his face. I could hear the others screaming and banging on the barrier but it was no use.
"Seeing as how you offered this to me before my second death, and that I am a man of some honor." Morrigan stated, as he raised his rapier over my heart. "Any last words?"
"Just....a few." I said. "One, you talk way to damn much, and two.......you might want to get that lump on your arm checked out." He looked at the bulging mass on his right arm and raised an eye bro. "What is this?" He said as he let go of his sword and cut open into himself. A confused look appeared on is face as he looked in, then reached in with his hand and pulled out......
"What did you do!?" He demanded as he held the bomb in his hand.
"Oh that? That's just one of the bombs that I make. One of the eight that I place inside you while we were fighting." Horror and shocked appeared on his face as he let go and slowly stood up, gazing at his body in horror. Then, the realization of what was happening kicked in as he looked at the smoking coming out of my nostrils.
"NOOO!" He screamed and grabbed me by the throat, throwing across the room, bring the book near him to possibly save him, but it was no use. My fiery breath got to him before the book did. There was a flash of brightness and it was as though I was staring at the sun, while feeling like I was next to a bonfire as he exploded from the inside out. Part of the book caught on fire, causing it it dismiss the tendrils and energy barrier, until I felt my body hit the hard stone wall.
My vision became blurry, and my body didn't ache anymore for some reason. I saw the others run up towards me, and began to yell out my name, but I couldn't answer. I was to tired. Suddenly I felt them pour something into my mouth and my vision became better, as did some of the pain in my body, but I could still feel the cracked ribs.
"Damn it Jamada, say something!" I heard Rattle yell.
"Anybody got any holy water?"
