"And your sure he went there?" I asked Rattle, a little sceptical.

"I am positive." He said. "Do you doubt me?"

"Well." Varak said. "Out of all the places he could have gone to, Varisia, Cheliax, Ustalav, he decides to go to the capital city of a pirate nation?"

"The next artifact that he is after is there." Rattle argued. "Though I do not know why, or where at in the city, he is there. I searched his mind, trying to find some answers while battling him, and the only thing I managed to find was that Port Peril is his next destination."

I nodded, not pressing the issue any further and drank the last portions of my healing potion. After the fight, we went back into the castle and began to figure out what to do next. Me, Rattle, and Venom knew immediately that we had to postpone our trip to Avistan, the northern part of Golarion, until the vampire was delt with. It was because of us, or more specially, me, that the vampire hunted and attacked us. Not only that, but he is now power hungry, and wants nothing more than to see all living things in Golarion dead.....and my head mounted on a wall.

"Do you know what the artifact does, or what it looks like?" I asked. He nodded.

"I know what it looks like at least." he said. "It is a copper helm, with two dragon horns on each side."

"Well that narrows things down a bit." I said. "I suppose the next thing to figure out is the fastest way to get there."

"What about my scroll?" Varak suggested. I was about to say something to him when Venom came into the room holding a book.

"That won't be necessary." He said closing the book. "I learn a spell that can get us there without the scroll."

"Besides." He continued. "You will need it to get to Kyonin."

Varak had a confused look on his face and looked fron Venom, to Rattle, then to me. "Wait, are you saying I'm not coming?"

I looked to Rattle and Venom and nodded. "No." I said.

"But....why?" He said with a little anger in in voice.

"This is our fight Varak, not yours. He came after us, after me, and this is something we need to handle." I said.

"The four of us barely held our own with him, what makes you think the three of you can stop him." He said.

"We were simply surprised." Rattle said. "Now that we know who the enemy is we will be more cautious, and not be as........merciful as before. We even have Gazera looking into about the staff and if there are ways to weaken it and if necessary, destroy it."

Varak seemed to think about this for a moment. "But-"

"This is not up for discussion." Rattle said. "The three of us decided, this is our problem, our mess that we need to clean up. Now you can go to Kyonin willingly, or.....not so willingly."

He locked eyes with Varak that seemed to last an eternity, until Varak gave in with a sigh.

"Will I see you again?" He asked unrolling the scroll that would transport him to the elven nation.

"We went against a purple worm. I think we can take a vampire." I said grinning. He laughed and disappeared in a light green flash of light.

"Albeit we had the help from a copper dragon but that's besides the point." I said as Rattle placed a hand on me. Venom casted the spell and placed a hand on Rattle. One second we were in a castle, the next we were in  a street.

"Woah." was all I could say, amazed by the teleportation spell. I looked to Venom and he seemed pleased with himself. "We need to travel that way more often." I said after a while of looking around the street. Already, I counted up to 8 taverns and 6 brothels on this street alone.
