I quickly cast a spell that created an shield of force around me, then pulled out my rapier and plunged it into the nearest boggards head.
At the same time I heard explosions to my right and heard the sounds of boggards cry out in pain. I look to my right and saw Jamada throwing his bombs and Venom shot a long stream of fire curving and twisting through the hoard, setting almost half of the boggards on that side on fire. When one got to close it got smacked away by his morningstar crackling with electricity.
I turned my attention back to my side and summoned three balls of electricity. I set them through the hoard, and the frogs fell to the ground twitching, with their skin burning. Of course, the boggards in the back simply ran over them, some even killing them to get them out of the way.
More and more came on, and a few got through my shield and got a few beats on me, but they weren't life threatening. I stuck out three fingers and shot out three rays of scorching heat into the hoard. Dozens were on fire a few more fell to the ground. I quickly then shot a line of fire from my fingertips into the mist of the hoard and heard a boggard cry in pain, however, once it struck the frog twelve lines of fire burst from the area and struck nearby boggards. With the boggards being so close, it caused an explosion in the hoard, sending a dozen of them flying away on fire. The large hole in the hoard was soon field, as more poured in.
I need some breathing room. I thought as I gut opened two boggards with a swipe of my rapier.
I pointed at the ground in front of me and muttered a spell that I remembered back in my homeland. The ground erupted underneath a boggard and from it came a large decapitated snake.
I ordered the headless body to wrap around the nearest boggard, and to squeeze the life from it. Other boggards jumped back in surprise at the sight of the headless snake, which gave me enough time to cast a fire ball into the mist, killing a least a dozen.
But more boggards took their place.
I had the serpent coil slither through the ranks, and the boggards quickly turned their attention to the coil, and quickly tore the thing apart.
Well s**t.
As I casted a lightning bolt into the hoard, I thought of using the gauntlet on the hoard, but that thought was soon dispelled as I heard a loud high pitched wet roar.
The boggards stopped in their tracks, and began to look around, croaking nervously. I stood there confused. "What in the name of-"
"Run!" I heard a deep voice yell in the hoard in boggard. "The three headed god and his priest has returned!"
No sooner the words escaped his lips, I looked behind me and saw boggards being launched in the air, until.....it.....came charging to the center were we stood.
"Desna weeps." I heard Jamada say.
The beast somewhat resembled a Hydra, with three heads on long necks, but looked almost alien. It had blue skin, with no scales at all, two black horns on each head, along with frills that were spread out, solid yellow eyes, and a gem shape symbol, the color of turquoise, on each forehead. It had a serpentine body, with a web like tail on the end. I also noticed that it had front arms with long black claws, but no back legs. That didn't stop it however from rasing its head, and body, to were it towered over us and roared out again.
The boggards immediately dropped their weapons and ran away in fear, crawling over each other to get away. There were a few however that stayed, who met an unfortunate end from the either the beasts jaws, claws or a great slap that sent them flying away with the sound of bone breaking.
