TWENTY EIGHT

I wake up as I slam my hand on my alarm clock pressing it on snooze.

I wake up expecting the sun to be shining but instead it's raining.

I get out of bed and head downstairs to make myself some breakfast with whatever Mitch has in the fridge.

I make it to the kitchen and see a note on the counter.

Good Morning Mads

I know you were coming down to make breakfast but just know that behind you there is a freshly made smoothie with a bagel covered in cream cheese. Just thought I would actually do something nice this morning :)

I smile at the note as I turned around and surely enough there was a freshly made smoothie and a bagel covered in cream cheese.

I grab the food and sit down at the dining room table.

I scroll through my phone and eat my food.

I see a text message from Connor.

To: Babe

Good Morning Handsome

After I finish my food, I place it in the sink and head upstairs to change for the day.

I hear the front door open and sounds of men talking.

I head downstairs to see Mitch, Willy and Auston on the couch.

"Mitch where's Maddy?" I hear Auston say.

"Probably poisoned from that smoothie you made her" That was William's voice.

"You two assholes" Mitch says as I hear a pillow being thrown.

I could stay behind this wall and continue to eavesdrop on them but I decide to be nice for once.

I walk into the room where the three idiots were having a pillow fight.

"I'VE ARRIVED!" I yelled for them to stop.

They stopped and dropped the pillows.

"MADDY!!" Auston and William both said as they pull me in for a hug.

"Ugh you two smell" I said trying to pull away from them.

"I missed you" William whispers in my ear.

"I missed you too" I said to him as they release me from that terrible group hug.

"Hey how about me?" Auston asked as he frowned at me.

"Well I would've missed you if you actually came to Pittsburgh and said hi to me face to face instead of saying hi to gold diggers at bars and taking them to a bedroom and never seeing them again" I said to him and William and Mitch both gave me a high five.

"Hey I stopped" Auston says.

"Okay what ever you say" I said.

"Hey Mads are you heading somewhere?" Mitch asked.

"Yeah i'm heading downtown to explore" I said as I grabbed my purse.

"Can you bring this to Steph for me" Mitch hands me a sweater.

"Sure" I said as I took the sweater.

"Stealing your car" I said to Mitch.

Before he could respond I walked out the door and headed to his car.

I drove to Steph's place.

I knocked on the door.

"Coming!"

The door opens and reveals Steph.

"Hey Maddy come in" Steph says as I smile and walk inside her place.

Her place looks very nice.

"Mitch told me to bring you this" I said as I hand her the sweater.

"Thanks" Steph says.

"STEPH WHO IS THAT!?!" I hear a voice coming from her living room.

"MY FRIEND!" Steph yells back.

"Hey you should meet my roommate" Steph says to me as she takes my hand and leads me to her living room.

"Hey I want to introduce you to my friend" Steph says as I see the back of her roommate's head.

She turns around as I look at her in shock.

"Ally?" I said to her as she looked at me.

"Maddy?" She said equally as shocked as me.
