THIRTY FIVE

"Mitch you're dating one of my best friends" Ally says.

"Well I didn't know that!" Mitch says in a louder tone.

"Well now you know and you could've broke up with her" Ally shoots back.

"Well maybe I don't because I love her" Mitch says.

"No you don't. You said that exact thing to me and look at us now!" Ally says as I can hear the pain in her voice.

"Well here's the difference I love her and not you" Mitch says as I can tell he is bluffing.

"YOU'RE BLUFFING!" Ally points out.

"I'm sorry you can't handle the truth" Mitch says as I can see tears starting to fall down her cheek.

"You shouldn't care about my love life now, it's none of your business. You know the reason I broke up with you is because you were cheating on me!" Mitch fired back.

"I wasn't cheating on you!" Ally tries to defend herself.

"Then who was that dude?" Mitch asked as he started to walk closer to her.

"I-I can't tell you" Ally said trying her hardest to not look at him.

"Slut" Mitch angrily says.

Now that was too far, i've never seen this side of Mitch before.

"You know what you and Steph can have a happy life together because i'm so done chasing after you for these past couple of weeks" Ally sadly says.

"Why were you chasing after me?" Mitch asked her as Ally just walks up to the door.

"Because I still love you you jerk!" she says before opening the door and leaving.

Mitch calmed down and now looks like he regrets saying those things.

"Mitch what the hell!" Steph slaps him on his arm.

"I-I- I've screwed up" Mitch says.

"Mitch I was going to tell you this later but i'm breaking up with you" Steph says to him as Mitch looks shocked.

"Why?" He asks looking defeated after that fall out with Ally.

"Stop lying to yourself about loving me, I know you love Ally and I know that you know that" Steph says to him.

"Friends" Steph says holding out her hand.

"Friends" Mitch says taking her hand for a hand shake.

"Well I should go after her" Steph says grabbing her things.

"Hey tell me how she's holding up?" I asked Steph as she nods and walks out he door.

Mitch sits back down on the couch and puts his head to his hands.

"Mitch I just wanted to know that Ally and I aren't actually dating" Auston says as I look at him.

Hasn't Mitch been through a lot in this past 30 minutes.

"What?" He looks back up to Auston.

"It was my plan Mitch, don't get mad at Auston" I said to him.

"Why would you go so far?" He asks as he wipes the tears that are going down his face.

"Um I should leave you two alone" Auston says.

"WILL!" Auston yells.

Will comes out holding out a roll of  toilet paper.

"Dude these are so soft" Will says as he admires the roll.

"Okay we are going" Auston says as he and Will say bye and walk out leaving Mitch and I alone.

"So what's your answer?" Mitch asks.

"I did this because I knew you two still loved each other but I needed proof so I decided this plan would show your guys true emotions" I said.

"So you really care about this relationship?" Mitch asked.

"Well it's the best I can do, you two cared about Connor and I's relationship it's time that I give back" I said taking a seat next to him.

"Fair enough" Mitch says.

"Mitch what you said was hurtful" I told him as he just nods.

"I know I regret that but I just wanted to know who that guy was" he said with a guilty face.

"Mitch that guy was a travel agent, Ally was planning a surprise trip for the two of you for your anniversary" I explained to him as he just looks at me.

"For me??" He asked as I just nodded and smiled.

"I screwed up big time" he says as tears start to fall down his cheek.

"I lost the girl I really love" he says as he lays his head on my shoulder.

I place my arm around him as I comfort him.
