FIFTY SEVEN

                       1 week later

"Maddy you're going to pick up Mitch and Ally from the airport" Steph says as I rolled my eyes.

"Can't they just stay there, this house was more peaceful without them" I said.

"I suggested that over the phone the other day but they hung up on me" Steph says as Connor, William and Auston walked in.

"Hello where's the food?" Auston asked.

"Next to Maddy" Steph pointed to the bowl of chips next to me.

"Hey babe" Connor gives me a peck.

"Ugh can I enjoy this bowl of chips in peace" Auston said taking a seat next to me.

"So Auston how is Jordyn?" I asked him.

"She's so annoying" he complains.

"Like when I entered my apartment and went to the washroom she was hiding in the shower. She's like high key stalking me" Auston says.

"Auston this is why you don't date girls you randomly meet" William said.

"Shut up" Auston threw a chip a William.

"Maddy you have to go" Steph said as I rolled my eyes again.

"Fine but you are giving me money for gas" I said as I followed Steph to the front door.

"Here" she says handing me the money.

"Okay Steph when the phone rings please answer it" I said putting my shoes on.

"Why?" She asked.

"Because the doctor is suppose to call to confirm my first ultrasound, please don't let any of those boys answer it" I said to Steph.

"Okay but if he answers it, it's not my fault" Steph says as I give her a quick hug before heading out the door.

                           Connor

"These chips as good" Auston says as we continue to play our game.

"Hey not to be rude but have you noticed Maddy has been gaining a little weight?" William points out as Steph chokes on her water.

"Are you okay?" I ask her.

"Yeah it's just you know.....something in the water" Steph says acting suspicious but I ignore it.

"Okay time for a break" Auston says.

"Steph come with me to the Chinese place next door so we can get some food" Auston says.

"I'm good Auston" she says.

"I'll buy you a new outfit" Auston says.

"I'll grab my coat" Steph rushes upstairs to grab her coat.

"Okay bye losers" Steph and Auston exit through the front door.

"Did you hear the rumour at Mitch and Ally's wedding?" William asks me.

"Yeah apparently Ally was pregnant but she's not anymore" I said.

"Yeah it's just weird that the girls found a pregnancy test in this house" William says as the house phone rings.

"I'll get it" I said getting up and answering the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hello is this Maddy Crosby?"

"Um no i'm her fiancé but I can leave a message for her" I said.

"I just want to confirm her ultrasound for tomorrow at 12pm" the lady at the other end said.

"What ultrasound?" I asked her.

"The ultrasound for the baby" she said as I choked on air. William looks at me weirdly.

"Uh let me tell her and she will call you back" I said as I quickly hung up the phone.

"Who was that?" Willam asked.

"Um the doctor. Will i'm going to head out for a bit to think" I said as I grabbed the car keys and headed out the door.

I need to process all the information I just received.

I'm going to be a father.
