THIRTY SIX

"Do you think he will be ready for tonight?" I ask Auston and William as we all look over Mitch.

Mitch honestly looked dead on his bed. He hasn't left the house in a week and he barely ate anything.

"Dude I don't know, the first game is tonight" William said.

Mitch hasn't spoken or in fact even blink.

"Mitch" Auston said as Mitch stared at the wall across the room.

"Mitch" Auston repeated as he snapped his finger in front of him. Surprisingly he didn't blink.

His eyes were red and puffy from crying.

"Mitch you need to eat something, you have to play today" I said to him.

"Coach isn't going to be happy with you" Auston said as Mitch just turned his head to face us.

He gave us the middle finger and went back to staring at the wall.

"Mitch get your ass out of bed!!" I pulled the blankets off of him.

"You know what Mitch I will get someone" I said as I left the room.

I dialled in the number and waited for the person to answer.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ally can you please do me a favour?" I asked.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Can you please bring back Alison for a second?"

"He needs to get moving or else we would be late" William said.

"Maddy have you figured out anything yet?" Auston asked me as we hear doorbell ring.

"In fact I did" I said as I left the room and opened the front door.

"Where is this bitch?" Ally I mean Alison said.

I lead her into his room.

"Okay Mitch get your ass out of bed!!" Ally went up to him and slapped him on the face.

"What is Ally doing here?" Auston whispered in my ear.

"Just shut up!" I said to him as I watched Ally do her thing.

"Ouch" That was the first word we heard him say.

"Mitch you better get ready now or else I will call your mommy and tell her to send me some baby photos" Ally threatened.

"Okay" Mitch got out of bed quickly and went into the bathroom.

"Ho-how?" William asked.

"We tried everything" Auston continued.

"And he got out that easily" I followed.

"Shush Maddy i've got everything under control" she winked at me as we waited for Mitch to come out.

He walks out and just sits down back on his bed.

"Okay now eat this" Ally tosses Mitch a sandwich from her bag.

"I'm too depressed to eat" Mitch says tossing the sandwich to me.

"Mitch get over this girl" Ally said.

"I can't, she's my first and only love and my soulmate" Mitch said as he just looks on the ground.

Ally looks at us for some advice but we just shrug our shoulders.

She takes a deep breath before grabbing Mitch's face and leaning in for a kiss.

She break apart and Mitch is still processing what's going on.

"Well I should get going now" Ally says as she says goodbye to us.

"Oh and you better be playing tonight, I'll be at the game tonight" Ally says to Mitch before walking out the room.

I look at Mitch as he just touches his lips.

"Those lips are familiar" he says as the three of us pretended nothing happened.

"Let's go buddy we have to be at the rink in less than one hour" Auston says throwing Mitch's hockey bag at him.

"Okay" Mitch says still holding his lips as he walks out the room.

"That kid is so in love" William says before exiting with the others.
