THIRTY ONE

"Pass the potatoes please?" Auston said interrupting the silence.

Mitch passes Auston the potatoes.

"So how did you two meet?" Alison says.

"Well my teammates girlfriend introduced us to each other" Mitch answered.

"Were you in any relationships before that?" Alison asked as I stopped eating.

His answer is going to be interesting.

"Umm....No" What a liar.

"What about Ally?" Auston said.

"Oh her yeah she was my girlfriend, totally forgot about her. I'm happy that i'm with Steph now" Mitch said as he gives Steph a kiss on the cheek.

I looked at Will and Auston, you could tell that Mitch said that with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Wait I want to hear about your ex" Steph said pushing Mitch away.

"Babe Ally is history" I looked at Ally, I can tell she's hurt but she is trying her hardest not to show it.

"I don't care, I want to hear more about her" Steph said trying to get some info out.

"Well we were together for two years until I caught her with another guy. She wouldn't tell me who that was and I got irritated and I felt like she was using me. So I broke things off" Mitch explained.

"So you threw away a two year relationship over that? You didn't let her explain herself all the way" Steph had a point.

This is not like Mitch to throw something away.

"But Steph if I didn't break up with her I wouldn't have met you" Mitch said taking Steph's hand.

"I love you" Mitch said to her.

"I um got to use the bathroom" Ally said getting up quickly as she can.

"Steph can I borrow your phone charger?? My phone just ran out of batteries" I said to her.

"Yeah sure" she said sending me a wink.

I got up and went to Ally's room.

"Ally?" I knocked on her door as I opened it.

I see her crying quietly on her bed.

"Ally it's going to be okay" I Shut the door and sat next to her, giving her the biggest hug ever.

"Ugh i'm so stupid" She said to herself.

"I should've explained who that guy was"

"Hey you're not stupid" I said as I rubbed circles on her back trying to calm her down.

We just sat there for a little bit as Ally calmed down.

"So who was that guy?" I asked her.

"He was a guy from this traveling agency" she said as I just nodded.

"I asked him to meet me at that restaurant, I was going to surprise Mitch with a trip to Hawaii for our 3 year anniversary" Ally said as she started to cry harder.

Oh gosh I feel so bad for her, she was only trying to surprise Mitch.

"Ally i'm so sorry" I said to her.

"It's okay, guess we can both go to Hawaii now" She said as she let out a small laugh.

"Yeah well I should head back out there" I said.

"I'm over him" Ally blurted out.

I looked at her as she let out a smile as she wipes her tears.

"I should move on from him as he has from me. I love him and I still do but seeing him happy is what matters. I should not cry over him anymore, I need to find someone else" She said as I let out a small smile.

"Ally what happens if I said I have a plan where you can make Mitch jealous" I said to her.

She takes a minute before giving me a smirk.

"I'm in" she says as I tell her the plan.
