FIFTEEN

We entered the hospital and went to the front desk.

"May I help you?" The lady asked with a hint of sass in it.

"Can we please see Connor Mcdavid?" I asked kindly.

"Sorry but only family and friends could see him" She said not even looking at us.

"But we are close friends with him" Lauren said.

"How do I know if you are telling the truth, you might be some fans telling me a lie right now?" The lady said.

"Hi i'm Mitch Marner I play for the Toronto Maple Leafs" Mitch spoke up.

"You play for the Toronto Maple Leafs?" She asked Mitch as he proudly nodded.

"Well in that case you are DEFINITELY not allowed to come in, this is Pittsburgh man and the only hockey team we like here are the Penguins" She said as I got an idea.

"What if I can get you a phone call from Sidney Crosby?" I asked her as she looked at me.

"I'm listening"

"If we get you a phone call then will you let all of us in?" I begged her.

She looked at all of us for a little bit.

"It's not nice to stare lady!" Ally snapped.

"Sorry but that blonde dude next to you is a good looking guy" The lady said.

William looked proud after she said that.

We all just stared at him as he just admired his achievement.

"What??" He asked all of us.

"Nothing"

"So is that a deal?" Lauren asked.

"Deal" The lady said as Lauren and I instantly grinned at each other.

I took out my phone and called Sidney's number.

"Hello?" He picked up.

"Hey Sid can you do me a favour?"

"Sure what is it?"

"We are seeing someone in the hospital and the only way we can get in is if you say hi to the lady at the front" I explained to him.

"Sure put her on speaker" Sidney said as I put him on speaker.

I put my phone up to the lady.

"Hello" she said.

"Hello it's Sidney Crosby" The lady started to freak out.

"OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SIDNEY!!" The lady screamed out.

We all stood there for 10 minutes listening to the whole conversation.

"Okay I hate to say it to you but I have to go" Sidney said.

"Okay it was nice talking to you" And with that I ended the call.

"Deal is a deal" Mitch said.

"Okay but I need your ids first" The lady said as we all handed her our ids.

"Lauren Kyle, Mitch Marner, Ally Smith, William Nylander and Maddy Crosby" The lady read out before looking at me with wide eyes.

"Crosby? Don't tell me you are related to Sidney Crosby?" She said as I nodded my head.

"Okay we have no time to talk, we have to see Connor" Lauren said grabbing all the ids out of the lady's hands and walking over to Connor's room.

We all made it to Connor's room.

Lauren opened the door, we walked in and saw Connor on the hospital bed sleeping.

"What do we do?" Ally asked.

"We have to wait until he wakes up" I responded.

"And when he wakes up he might remember us"
