FOURTY EIGHT

"Wait so who knows?" I ask Connor as we make it to his hotel.

"Well Mitch, Steph, Ally, Auston and William know plus your parents and my parents" Connor says.

"And what about Sidney??" I ask him as his eyes go wide. I knew he forgot to tell him.

"Um something suddenly came up" he says as I groan.

"Connor you know that he's going to freak out" I told him.

"Well now you have the pleasure of telling him, i'm going to the washroom" Connor said quickly getting up and running to the washroom.

I pull out my phone and find Sidney's number.

Oh god he is going to freak out.

"Hello?" I hear his voice.

"Hey Sid do you have a minute?" I ask him.

"Um sure" he says.

"I suggest you sit down for this"

"Sis what's going on??" He was concerned about me.

"Um so Connor and I went out for dinner and he proposed to me" I quickly said.

There was a moment of silence.

"Sidney??" I asked.

"YOU WHAT!!" He yelled.

"Sid ple-"

"And why wasn't I warned about this?" He cut me off.

"Ask my fiancé about that" I told him.

"Well i'm happy for you" he said as I'm shocked by this words. I was imagining him ripping Connor's head off.

"Thanks Sidney" I thanked him.

"Well I have to go now, Sandy is here" he said.

"Wait who the hell is Sandy?" I ask him.

"Um sh- uh she i- um bye" Sidney hanged up.

"How was is?" Connor came back.

"He took it surprisingly well" I said to Connor.

"So um Mitch told us to meet him at the rink in 10 minutes" Connor mumbled.

"Ugh i'm too lazy" I said.

"Come on Maddy, it may be a surprise" Connor said as he took my hand.

"Fine only because I like it when people give things to me" I said as we both walked out.

"I've never seen a parking lot full at 11pm" I told Connor as we made our way to the rink.

We walked in and made our way to the ice.

It was dark.

All of a sudden the lights go on.

"SURPRISE!!"

Everyone from the Oilers and Leafs were on the ice along with Ally and Steph.

"You guys" I said as I ran up to Mitch, Ally, William, Steph and Auston.

"Let me see the ring" Ally lifted my hand.

"I can't believe we are both engaged!!" We both squealed.

"Oh and um here are your gifts" Auston wheels in a cart full of gifts.

"Aww this is so sweet, thank you so much" I said as I gave each of them one more hug.

I have the best friends ever.
