TWENTY FIVE

"I feel bad" I told Connor as I made breakfast.

"I know but you know life happens" Connor sleepily says as he takes a sip of his coffee.

"I mean they are true lovers, they are meant for each other" I said as I set up the table.

"True love isn't perfect, see what happened to us" Connor and I laugh.

"I guess you're right" I said checking my phone.

I still haven't gotten anything from Ally ever since last night.

"What times your flight?" I asked Connor as I took a seat next to him.

"11pm tonight" He replies.

"I can't believe that the off season is almost over" I said as I laid my head on Connor's shoulders.

"Me too. We have two weeks of training before our first pre season game"

"I'm sad I won't see you everyday" I said as I felt a kiss on my head.

"Promise you would come out to Edmonton and support me"

"I promise" I said as I give him a peck on his lips.

"I'm going to get Mitch's ass out of bed" I said getting up and heading to the guest room.

"Mitch wake up!!" I opened his door to see him playing video games.

"Hi Maddy" he didn't even make eye contact with me.

"Mitch go to the kitchen and eat something" I said shutting off his game.

"HEY!"

"Mitch you leave tonight and you haven't even packed yet" I said.

"Um I have an excuse" Mitch said as I cross my arms.

"And that is?"

"I'm depressed" Mitch places his controller on his bed.

"Mitch you and Ally will get back together eventually" I took a seat next to him.

"And how is that going to happen? As far as I know she hates me"

"Mitch see what happened to Connor and I? We had a couple of rough patches but we found our way back to each other. You have to wait for you and Ally to find each other" I said as I patted his shoulders.

"You better be right" Mitch says.

"Okay how about you go and eat and i'll pack your things" I said as I literally pushed him out the door.

"Got everything?" I asked Mitch before he went through security.

"Yeah i'm pretty sure, if not then you can just bring it with you when you visit" Mitch says as give him a hug.

"Stay strong Mitch. And make sure you win" I encouraged him. I didn't want this personal stuff to affect his career.

"Bye Maddy see you in like 2 weeks" Mitch says as he walks over to Connor.

"Bye bud" Connor says before they both embrace each other in a bro hug.

"Next time I see you i'll kick your ass" Mitch teases.

"I think it's the other way around" Connor teases back.

"Take care" Mitch says as he walks through security.

"I don't want you to leave" I said to Connor as I hugged him.

"Babe I won't be gone for long" Connor says as he kisses my head.

"I won't see you for at least a month" I said.

"Promise you'll facetime me every night?" Connor says.

"I promise" we both continue to hug each other.

"Well it's my turn to go" Connor says as I give him a kiss.

"I love you" I said.

"I love you too babe" Connor gives me one more kiss before heading through security.

Ugh this is going to be the most boring two weeks of my life.
