FIFTY EIGHT

"Hey Maddy!!" Ally said giving me a great big hug.

"Hey Ally!" I said as I see Mitch carrying all her stuff.

"Hey Bitch" I said to him giving him the greatest hug ever.

"Hey Asshole" he said back setting her things on the ground before picking me up for a hug.

"Congratulations" Mitch said to me.

"You know?" He said.

"Yes and I call being the godfather" he said.

"Okay but don't tell Auston or William" I told him.

"I'm the Godmother" Ally said.

"Okay Ally but don't rub it into Steph's face"

"I'll try not to" she said as we started to walk to my car.

"I'm going to call Steph" I said as I got in the car and dialled Steph's number.

"Hey Maddy" Auston answered.

"Hey Auston where is Steph?" I asked him.

"She's ordering the Chinese food" he said.

"Can I please talk to her?" I said.

"Hey Maddy" I hear Steph come on.

"Steph please tell me that you left before the doctor called?" I asked her.

"Shit" she mumbled.

"Um I might have left too early" she said.

"Fuck" I mumbled back.

"I'm coming home" I said as I hung up.

"Lovebirds get in the car and let's go!!" I said as Mitch and Ally went inside.

I opened the front door and rushed inside.

I reach the living room and saw Will, Auston and Steph sitting down.

"Where's Connor?" I asked as Auston and William went up to me and pulled me in for a group hug.

"So you're the one that's pregnant not Ally?" Auston asks as I nodded.

"Yess a baby!!" William said as he and Auston gave each other high fives.

"Where's Connor?" I repeated my question.

"He left after the doctor called" William said.

"Okay everyone split up to find Connor. I'll go with Steph, Auston you go with William and Ally you go with Mitch. Everyone now find him!" I said everyone rushed to leave the house.

"I'm sorry" Steph said to me.

"It's okay" I told her "It's kinda better than just telling him face to face" I said as I started my car.

"Auston and William already looked down that street" Ally said as we try to find Connor.

"So we checked everywhere, where could he be?" I asked myself. Just then I remembered one spot we haven't looked yet.

"Of course i'm so stupid" I said.

"What?" Ally asked.

"I totally forgot that whenever Connor wants to get his mind off of something he would usually go to the nearest rink and shoot some pucks" I said.

"Well where's the nearest hockey rink?" She asked.

"Well there's this one near Maddy's place" I said as I started to drive.

We made it there less than 5 minutes.

"See his car is here" I sad as we found a spot to park.

"You go inside, i'll text Maddy to tell her where we are" Ally said as I gave her a peck before exiting the car and heading inside.

Once I enter I immediately see Connor shooting pucks and missing every shot.

I found an extra pair of skates on the side.

I put it on and joined Connor on the ice.

"Can I join?" I interrupted him.

"Mitch why are you here?" Connor asked in a moody attitude.

"My question is why are you here?" I ask him as he stops shooting.

"Come on let's sit and talk" I said as we took a seat on the bench.

"So?" I ask him.

"Maddy's pregnant" he said.

"I know" I told him.

"You knew before me?!?" Connor asked surprised.

"Yes because Maddy knew I wouldn't freak out and leave like you did" I said.

Connor looked at the ground before looking at me.

"I just feel like this baby is going to ruin my reputation. I mean i'm still young" Connor said.

"Connor I get your point but if i'm being honest here, you're kinda acting selfish" I said.

"No i'm not" he said before realizing what he said.

"Connor does it ever occur that this baby may also hurt Maddy's reputation too. Like does she really want to be known as Sidney Crosby's knocked up little sister?" I asked him.

"You got a point but-"

"Connor Maddy is affected by this as much as you are. Do you know how many times she called Ally and I crying and worrying about the baby. She didn't know what to do" I told him.

"But-"

"Connor this baby is here wether you like it or not. If you don't like this then I'm sorry but you're not the right guy for Maddy. Maddy wants this baby so much but you're the only person that's standing in the way" I said making sure he gets the point.

"But-"

"But what Connor?" I asked him.

"I'M SCARED!" He yelled out.

"I'm scared" he lowered his voice.

"Connor there is nothing to be scared about" I reassured him.

"I'm just scared to be a father"

"Connor you have all of us by your side" I patted him on the back as he smiled.

"Thanks Mitch" he said as he gave me a hug.

"No problem Connor" I said.

"Oh and please tell Auston and William that i'm the godfather" I joked as we both laughed a little.

"Now go get your woman and baby" I said to him as I watch him run out the door.
