{Georgina's POV}

The day had already gotten exciting, and I hadn't even finished breakfast yet. Percy was stabbing a large stack of blue pancakes, which I found rather odd, but I didn't question it. Weirder things had happened that morning. When people started leaving the dining pavilion, I decided that it was okay to leave, and went to congratulate Sofie. She seemed to be in an intense discussion with her siblings about quantum physics, which I barely understood.

"Hey, so, how are you feeling about your godly mother?"

"Well, I think that it was a hologram, but if it means I get to have intelligent discussions daily, I'm fine with it."

"Percy told me that there's a lava wall. Do you want to come and try it out with me?" I wasn't sure that it was the safest thing ever, but they had to have some sort of harness... right?

"You'll have to save the lava wall for another day, I'm afraid. Today, the both of you are coming for a tour of New Rome." A Chinese boy around our age was standing in front of us, staring at us expectantly. His face was chubby, and didn't suit his large, muscled body. Not that I was noticing his muscles, of course...

"What's New Rome? And who are you?" Sofie asked, breaking the awkward silence.

"I'm Frank. And, well, it's like a Roman version of Camp Half Blood, practically, with Roman demigods." An annoyed look grew over Sofie's face. I didn't think she hated the Romans that much.

"When do we go?" I asked the boy

"Get your weapons, and then we leave."

"We don't have any weapons." I replied. Were we going to be playing Capture the Flag again?

"Haven't you chosen them yet? Come with me." He led us over to what looked like a garden shed. It looked rather plain and mundane, so I was having a hard time believing that there were weapons in there. Inside the building were rows and rows of weapons, lined up on tables, each with what looked like descriptions. A boy at the back seemed to be fiddling about with something that looked very similar to a dagger. It's always the inside that counts, I guess.

"Go through them carefully. You'll know which one is best for you."

I approached a silver and bronze sword hidden behind a curtain of cobwebs. I ran my hand across the blade, and then wrapped my hand around the hilt of the blade, lifting up the sword. It was nearly perfect; It balanced perfectly, the hilt was the right length and the guard was the right distance from my hand. The only problem was that there seemed to be a red aura surrounding the sword, as if it was emitting evil. It made me shiver, so I put it back down.

"Oh. That's Backbiter. It's half celestial bronze and half mortal steel. It can kill demigods and mortals. It belonged to Luke Castellan."

"Who was that?"I asked Frank.

"He was on the opposite side during the fight against Kronos and hosted him during the war. All I know is that he died a hero, apparently. Annabeth won't tell me anything else, and Percy tried to tell me, but Annabeth judo-flipped him again."

After hearing that story, I didn't want to choose Backbiter if Annabeth was that attached to its previous owner. However, what drew my eye was another sword next to Backbiter's original position. It was made of a green coloured stone, probably jade. Shells imbedded the center of the blade and intricate engravings of merpeople decorated the guard . It balanced itself perfectly in my hand, the hilt fit my hand and the sword gave off the same scent as the Poseidon Cabin: The Ocean.

I returned to Frank, content with what I had chosen. Sofie was already there, chatting with Frank, while holding a sword. It had what seemed to be a yellow crystal blade, which was strange, seeing as I thought Celestial bronze was the best for swords.

"Right. Now, let's go. All you have to do is get onto my back and-"

"We're going to get a piggyback ride all the way there?" I asked incredulously.

"You'll see what I mean." He walked out, and we followed, but not before sharing a strange look with each other. As soon as we left the building, what had once been a teenage boy, had changed into a massive eagle, its wingspan being the size of the armoury.

"What the f-" Sofie started, but she didn't finish her statement.

"Well, now we piggyback ride all the way to New Rome." I said as I climbed on.
