{Georgina's POV}
The car that we had been lent was an old Yugo, which looked like it was going to fall apart at any moment. Reyna had told us that we had to return it in one piece, so I hoped that Millie really was as good at driving as she had said. I had noticed a slight change in Millie's behaviour, as she kept on looking over at Anthony and smiling. Sofie had also come to wave us goodbye. I thought that she would be annoyed, but she seemed to have a look on her face as if she knew something everyone else didn't. She probably did.
"Well, if you have any important updates, don't hesitate to let us know via some form of communication." Reyna told us. She then walked off, leaving us with Argus. Millie and Anthony said their farewells to each other, and then Anthony surprisingly kissed her hand. Millie blushed, and then walked to the front seat of the car.
"Come on, guys, get in." She said, slamming the door behind her. Alivia followed Millie, and I was about to do the same, when Sofie beckoned me over to her.
"Sorry about how you can't come." I sheepishly said.
"Oh, don't worry. It's totally fine. Go on, Millie and Alivia aren't going to wait forever. You'll see." She had a mischievous smile plastered across her face, and it may have been my imagination, but was that lemon juice I just saw in her pocket? I wondered what she meant by the last line, but Millie revved the engine, so I hastily ran to the car.
The interior of the car was beat up pretty bad and smelt strongly of wet dog, the once white leather now cracked and grey. The car started driving off, in a slightly wobbly line. I was about to place my belongings in the seat next to me when I realised that there was already a bag there.
"Guys, is this one of your bags?" I asked, unsure as to who it belonged to.
"Ours are in the boot, Georgina," Alivia replied. Oh. I decided to open it to see if that would identify the owner, and it did. A large, yellow sword was packed in there, among six books.
"It's Sofie's..." I muttered to myself. I looked out the back window, to see Sofie squirting something at Argus, and him falling to the ground. Argus started to struggle up, but she kicked him in the head, knocking him out. Anthony was nowhere in sight, so I wondered whether Sofie had disposed of him too. She started to bolt towards the car with a crazed look in her eyes. If it wasn't Sofie I would have been scared, but this was just her regular behaviour.
"Guys, hold up. Sofie's coming."
"She is?!" Millie screamed, coming to a sudden halt. Alivia wound down her window in preparation.
"What's up bishes?" She pulled open the door and jumped into the seat next to me, her creepy murderer smile still present.
"Does anyone have Spotify?"
"Yep. Who likes Panic! At the Disco?" said Millie as she started blasting Miss Jackson from her phone. The quality of Millie's driving wasn't exactly great, and it turned out that her "expertise" was non-existent. I was counting down the amount of pedestrians she hit. I wasn't sure if Millie knew that she wasn't bowling and that knocking down pedestrians didn't earn her points. It didn't help that there seemed to be a police car ever present near us.
"MILLIE, YOU'RE GOING PAST THE SPEED LIMIT!" Alivia screeched as we turned a sharp corner.
"THERE'S A SPEED LIMIT?" She replied, shouting over the loud music. Sofie had obtained Millie's phone and was now making a playlist of Les Miserables and Bastille, and I was just trying not to be sick. I was now almost certain that the police car was following us.
"Millie, I think the police car is trying to pull us over. You do have a license, don't you?" I hoped that she could hear me, because I'd already nearly lost my voice from shouting at her. Millie replied by slamming on the brakes, sending me, and Sofie's bag, flying. The bag landed in the front, Calcite flying out and smashing a perfect hole into the windscreen. Sofie clambered forward into the front, and removed her sword.
"Sofie, hide your sword, the po po's here," I said.
"What's the po po?"
"The police. Duh."
Two policemen, both wearing dark sunglasses, approached Millie's window.
"License." They both stated at the same time, in a strange gravelly voice. Something didn't seem right, and it wasn't that Sofie didn't know that po po meant police.
"Yeah, umm, it's definitely in here somewhere." Millie awkwardly laughed, and then started rummaging through her bag.
"Smells funny in here, kids. Are you sure that you're supposed to be in here?"
"We're not hiding drugs, if that's what you're wondering. And you're not allowed to just pull us over to look for them. You have to have a genuine rea-" Sofie started. She didn't finish, because the policemen's skin started to bubble and crack. The faces began to blister, and the policemen casually removed thier sunglasses, creepily synchronised. They both started to judder and shake, like broken machines. A huge flash of light made us all look away, and when we returned our gaze, a Manticore the size of our car was growling at us. Millie held up her driving license, but it seemed that the creature was after more than that.
"DRIVE, MILLIE!" I screamed. I was suddenly thankful that Millie overtook the speed limit. The Manticore was still chasing us at an almighty speed, and I realised that one of us was going to have to kill it.
"Sofie, give me your sword." Alivia demanded.
"What?"
"GIVE ME THE DAM SWORD, WOMAN! I'M GOING TO CLIMB ONTO THE ROOF AND SHOOT SOME BLOODY ARROWS." Sofie threw her sword to her, and Alivia proceeded to cut a neat square into the roof. A perfect square, actually. I had no idea what the hell was going on. Alivia jumped through the roof, and I didn't see a body fall to the ground, so I presumed that she was succeeding in her mission. I looked out of the window to see a few arrows hit the creature, and then it fell to the ground in a puff of black smoke. Alivia jumped back into her seat, a cold breeze now entering from two holes in the car made by Sofie's sword.
