{Alivia's POV}

Smoke fumes filled my nose as I took in the now destroyed Parthenon. We were all scattered across the ruins, our injuries varying. Sofie was furthest away with tears streaming down her cheeks, Em was glaring at the sun in a daze, and Georgina was stumbling around like a middle aged drunk. A group of paramedics were tending to groups of mortals.

Sofie had run to the center of the now ruined Parthenon and proceeded to hug the marble.

"GEORGINA I'M GOING TO MURDER YOU!!!!!!!!!! YOU DESTROYED MY MOTHER'S TEMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU DESTROYED THE LARGEST BUILDING MADE ENTIRELY OF MARBLE!" She shouted a few more obscenities at Georgina, ones which are too bad to be recorded.

"Oops."

I realised that it wasn't just the Parthenon that had turned to ruins. Our entire quest had. We were in the wrong country, the group was turning on each other, we had no money, and Georgina had just blown up a national monument.

Maybe you'll never claim me, but please, just this once, can you help us? I wished in my head. A bright light started to emerge in the sky, and I suddenly wondered whether there was an asteroid shower forecasted. It couldn't be that, though, because the last time I'd checked the NASA website (this morning) it hadn't been announced. The light got closer, until I could barely look. The others seemed to see it too, apart from Sofie, who was still hugging a piece of marble. I turned away as the light hit the ground, hoping that I wouldn't be blinded. When I looked around, the light had dimmed, and heavy metal music was surrounding me. An older teenager around our age, with bright blonde hair, was leaning against a cherry red lamborghini.

"Yo.The name is Apollo. I saw the flash from Olympus, and was wondering whether I can write a haiku about it? Athena's gonna love it."

"NO SHE WON'T!" Sofie (still holding a piece of marble) had come up to the car, still furious.

"Hop in, gals." I couldn't help wondering whether Apollo had heard my prayer, or if it was just a coincidence.

"Alivia, my daughter. You look pretty confused. Is everything alright?" I stood there, paralysed. He'd just referred to me as his daughter.

"You... you- you never claimed me," Was the best thing I could think of to say. Now it was his turn to look puzzled.

"Oh. I must have forgotten. Sorry. Oh yeah, now I remember. I was at this crazy party with one of my sister's ex hunters, and then the Party Ponies came, and then she went off and snogged one of them, so I went over to Ares and started flirting with him, but then Aphrodite went crazy, but she was drunk, so she probably..." Apollo kept on ranting and raving about that party, and I struggled to find the resemblance between us two. I hated parties.

Em got in the back seat of the car, followed by Georgina, who tripped up. Apollo knelt down and lifted her up by her hand.

"Hey," He said in a flirtatious voice. Georgina and I both blushed. Why was my father flirting with my friend? Georgina walked away, trying not to fall over again, and sat down next to Em, as far from Apollo as possible.

"I think I just threw up in my mouth a little." She said, cupping her hands to her mouth. I wouldn't be surprised if she had.

"You are related, you perv. She's your cousin!" Sofie clambered in the back with Georgina and Em, squeezing into the middle. That left the passenger seat for me. Great.

"I don't care. I flirt with Thalia all the time, and she's my sister," he smirked, leaning against the hood of his car.

"Hmmm. Alivia, you look a tad squished. I think that you should trade with somebody in the back. Which one of you is shortest? He asked, looking in between Georgina and Em.

"Em is." Georgina answered immediately.

"No. I'm taller," Em replied back just as quickly. Apollo winked at Georgina, and beckoned her to the front.

"Emmie, I am taller. I can prove it to you. Get out of the car and we'll stand back to back." They both clambered out of the car and stood back to back.

"Umm. I hate to break it to you, Georgina, but Em's taller." I said awkwardly.

"WHAT?! That's not fair. She cheated!" Georgina began to insist. No-one replied, so she reluctantly moved into the passenger seat.

"Wait a second. Apollo, what's the catch?" Sofie asked, still stroking her piece of marble.

"Well, how about, if you ever visit Olympus, you must tell Zeus what a great person I am. Our father-son relationship isn't quite the best at the moment. Anyway, where are we going?"

"Paris." Sofie answered flatly.

"Of course, ma cherie," He said, in a frankly ridiculous French accent. He started to reverse his car at a painstakingly slow pace.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Reversing so that we can get a better take off." He said, while fiddling with his hair. There was a loud thud behind us, followed by a high pitched scream.

"Who did you run over?" Sofie asked in a bored tone.

"Just a small child. Nobody important, thank me."

"THANK YOU?! YOU'RE SO FULL OF YOURSELF!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS RIGHT NOW!!" Georgina shouted before slumping back into her seat.

"Aww, my pleasure. Also, I know I'm too good looking for you to believe. No need to tell me."

"You know the world doesn't revolve around you, Apollo."

"Actually it does. He's the sun god." Sofie said butting into their conversation. Georgina tried (and failed) to shoot Sofie an icy glare, before turning around and muttering profanities under her breath.

The vehicle edged forward, increasing in speed as it began to rise in height. Georgina was freaking out while squeezing her eyes shut. I was slightly worried because Apollo seemed to be scrolling through someone's Instagram account instead of holding the steering wheel.

"Uhhhhh. Dad, shouldn't you keep your eyes on the road- I meant sky." I said, nervously testing out the word.

"Nah. What's up with her?" He asked nodding his head towards Georgina.

"Oh, she's a daughter of Poseidon. That mea-"

"Daughter of Poseidon? He broke his oath again? Uncle P, try to keep it in your pants. Also- daughter? Uncle P doesn't have daughters. He usually has sons."

"Does he really have a choice in the sex of his child?" Sofie asked from the back.

" I don't know, but usually he has sons. It doesn't matter what she is. Poseidon broke his oath twice. The first time for Percy, and the second time for her."

"Can we choose some music please? Some Les Mis?" Em asked in a bored tone.

"Perfect, seeing as we're going to France." Apollo fiddled with a few buttons, until music was blasting out at what seemed to be around 110 decibels.
