{Alivia's POV}

I felt a faint burning in the pit of stomach as I tried to call on Apollo's help and strength. I heard a loud ear splitting screech as every raven fell to the ground. I opened my eyes to see Raven slowly waking.

"What in Hades...?" They slowly mumbled.

"QUICK!" Em shouted from behind me, her voice frantic and almost comically high pitched.

I raised my hand, the hundreds of ravens following it.

Attack, I thought in my head, my eyes burning at Raven. The ravens charged like one monstrous cloud in a stormy sky. I heard screams of agony, and I could only imagine the pain that thousands of beaks could inflict.

Sofie was sitting down on the ground, hands covering her ears. After a few minutes, the cacophony flew off into the black night sky, leaving behind a mangled corpse that I couldn't bear to look at. The illusions of mortals had been replaced by mounds of dark dust, leaving me, Em, Georgina and Sofie in an empty courtyard, the Eiffel Tower in the centre.

"Where's Anthony gone?" Em asked, looking around. He was nowhere in sight; the coward had probably fled the scene.

"We've won." I stated blankly, as if I couldn't quite believe it myself. Sofie seemed to have tears in her eyes, but she wiped them away before I could quite tell whether it was a trick of the moonlight. I looked over at Georgina, expecting her to jump up and shout some random remark about potatoes or cheese. Instead, she was sprawled on the floor, her body unmoving.

"Georgina?" I ran over, my heart racing uncontrollably. Blood was leaking out of her chest, spreading rapidly across her camp tshirt. Her breathing was rapid and heavy as she struggled to keep her breathing consistent.

"When did this happen?" Sofie was crouching down beside me, frantically looking for something to stop the bleeding.

"Use Raven's tshirt." Em was holding up a dark cloth with multiple holes in it.

"It's... too late," Georgina croaked out.

"Nonono... no, Georgina. You are going to survive. Please, no." I whispered. Blood was lining the cobbled streets now, soaking into my jeans. Tears were lining Georgina's eyelids, barely concealed by the night. She grasped onto my arm, a fistful of my jacket in her frail hands.

"The arrow... jumped in front." I could barely make out what she was saying, but Sofie suddenly burst into tears.

"You told me you were fine, Georgina! Don't lie to me ever again, okay?" She said, her voice crumbling.

"I don't think I will be able to lie to you ever again, Sofie, so sure, I won't."

"Don't talk like that. Be optimistic, we can get you to the ocean or a river or or-" I started racking my brains.

"It won't work. The prophecy said the healthy must fall- you can't change what's set in stone." Georgina said flatly, shattering my last shard of hope. I felt Em leaning down beside me, placing a comforting hand on the small of my back.

"Can you guys do me a favour? Please?" She croaked, her breathing was quick and sharp.

"Of course." Em answered immediately.

"Tell Percy that I wished him a Happy Birt-" She was cut short as her heart came to an abrupt stop, pumping the last ounce of blood around her body. She stared up towards the night sky as she exhaled her last breath. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head, exposing the whites. Em clawed at her chest as if she had been shot.

"What's wrong?" I asked, my voice dripping with worry.

"I felt her go," Em struggled to stutter through her tears. "It gets worse when I know the person better." She struggled to say. An eerie silence had fallen across all of us. "She isn't coming back, Liv. She's gone. Forever."
