{Em's POV}
Alivia had fallen asleep next to me, and Sofie was ignoring everything and everyone. We were in Apollo's chariot, travelling in the dead of night to Olympus. There was an empty seat by Apollo, and an empty feeling in my heart. None of us had wanted to take her place, so we were all crammed in the back, like before. Before all of this crap had happened.
"Zeus will want to talk with all of you, and, well, you'll have to break the news to Poseidon." I ignored his attempt at starting conversation. I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts and feelings, to take everything in. Staring out of the window into the stars above us, I wondered whether Georgina was up there, looking back at us.
I woke up to bright sunlight shining down on my face, and the face of Apollo staring back down at me.
"Ah, you're finally awake. We're here." I looked around, to see a grassy plain, paths dividing it and stalls lining it. Dryads were walking around, some staring at us. I left the chariot, joining my friends who were glaring at the sun. Apollo started chatting to a dryad who looked around our age, with ginger hair flowing down her back and bright green eyes.
"I have to leave now, but June will take you to meet the gods. Remember to pop in an amazing word to Zeus about me." I felt sick- after all that had happened, Apollo was still thinking of himself. Disgusting. I glared at the back of his head, hoping that if I stared hard enough he might melt into a puddle of vanity. Sofie was staring at the architecture with a look of awe plastered across her face. I felt a spark of hope ignite inside of me that maybe Sofie would return to normal before it was extinguished, her head angling towards the ground without a sign of a smile traced across her face.
"The great hall's up ahead. It's really brave, by the way, what you all did. And I'm sorry, you know, about your loss." I tried to reply, but all that came out was a weird, "mmm". We walked on, until we came up to a large temple, complete with twelve thrones. Each throne was occupied by someone about ten times the size of me, apart from one which was probably Alivia's father's. June knelt down, so I copied her example.
"Lord Zeus, I bring you the heroes from last night's battle in Paris." She stood up, so I joined her, absolutely clueless in what I was supposed to be doing.
"I see you have succeeded then." Zeus said in a bored tone. He was wearing a traditional Ancient Greek outfit, a dark beard covering part of his face. His eyes were a stormy blue, tinged with purple.
"You think that you'd be a bit more considering if all of us survived." I spat, shooting up from my bow.
"What do you mean?" A man, probably Poseidon, asked. He then glanced around, as if expecting his daughter to burst out from behind a pillar and shout, "POTATOES". I was half expecting that too.
"Georgina is dead." Alivia answered in a flat tone.
"I felt it. She isn't coming back- she's gone for good." Poseidon looked at us as if he was about to say something, but then looked down as if deciding not to.
"Well, there are plenty of demigods. You'll get over it." Zeus said.
"SHUT UP!" Were Sofie's first words since Georgina had died.
"You dare speak to the king of the gods in that way, girl?"
"Fu-" I covered her mouth with my hand before she could go any further.
"Enough." A woman spoke up, her eyes blazing silver. She looked as if she could actually kill somebody with a deathly glare, something that I wish I could have done to Apollo earlier. I hoped that Sofie's mother did not own a swear jar, otherwise Sofie would have run out of money years ago.
