{Millie's POV}

It was worth the long walk. As we arrived at the dock, we were immediately greeted by a tall man wearing a midnight blue tuxedo. He had a crooked nose, was clean shaven, and had multiple scars lacing his face and neck.

"Greetings, you must be Raven's friend. I am your Captain, and I welcome you aboard the Delias." He gestured to the huge cruise ship behind him, and I wondered whether he was pointing in the wrong direction. A staircase led up to a door, and he ushered us in. Inside was a huge hall, chandeliers decorating the ceiling, and one long table in the middle. What surprised me the most, though, was the lack of people.

"I will leave you lot to explore the ship on your own. We will be departing in an hour." And with that, he walked off.

"Let's follow him, to see where the crew is," Sofie immediately said once he was out of earshot.

"Yeah. I don't trust him, or this ship. It seems too good to be true." Alivia added. We started walking after him, around the corner, until we came across a black wall, a small door bang in the centre.

"Not here. You can explore everywhere else, but not here, girls." We turned around, to find the captain staring at us, an angry look in his eyes.

"Sorry." Georgina muttered. We walked off, until we were back in the hall again, none the wiser.

"I feel like we should get off this boat." Alivia insisted.

"Look, I feel like it's bad too, but I trust my friend, okay?" Sofie replied.

I wanted to complain, but I was tired, and the thought of having somewhere to stay seemed better than sleeping in our wrecked car.

The handle of the staircase was entwined with red and gold ribbon, and the carpet a velvet red. It seemed like it was meant for posh millionnaires, not random teenagers who'd just crashed a car. Upstairs, there were four large rooms, two on each side of the corridor. I looked in the first one, and found a bedroom.

"Bagsy this one," I called out immediately. Alivia took the room next to me, and Georgina the one opposite.

Inside, there was a neatly made bed, with a drawer by the side of it, and a large television on the wall. There was an en-suite bathroom, which was good, because if Sofie truly had gone to shower the other night, she had taken awfully long, and I was not planning on waiting.

It was almost nightfall, and Alivia had told me to meet her downstairs. When I got down there, Georgina was with her already.

"So, what's this about?" I asked.

"We need to find evidence." Alivia replied, her tone serious.

"Too much Sherlock?"

"Millie, there's something bad about this ship. And we need to prove it."

"Are we going to split up, then, or go altogether?" Georgina asked.

"Millie and I will go together." Alivia declared. We started to walk towards the area which we'd been warned off earlier, but Georgina interrupted us.

"What about Sofie?"

"Well, umm. I don't think she'd like us doing this. She trusts her friend, but, I'm not entirely sure I trust her friend too." Georgina looked sceptical. The setting sun cast long shadows across the deck, giving the ship a slightly eery look. The smell of sea water whipped through the crevices of the ship, being carried by the wind.

"So, what should we be looking for?"

"Anything that proves the captain is dodgy." Alivia said. 'Dodgy' was a very vague term, though.

"If there is anything, what can we do about it? We'll be in the middle of the ocean soon!"

"Maybe Georgina could magic us away or something." She replied.

"Have you seen Georgina? There's no way she could ever be capable of something like that, let alone stay focused long enough."

"Hey!" Georgina, who I had thought was now on the other side of the ship, was right behind us. "But I agree, though. I'm not sure I would be able to."

"Wait, can you guys hear that?" I lifted my head in the direction of the locked room earlier, insistent that I had heard voices.

"No." Georgina said. I lifted a finger to my mouth, and then pointed in the direction of the noise. I didn't want to alert the voices' owners to our presences. I took my phone out of my pocket, and started recording the voices, now that I could just about tell what they were saying.

"So, if you use the portal, it should take you a few days less to get there."

"And I'll be arriving at the Piraeus Harbour?" That was the captain's voice, for sure. 'Piraeus' didn't sound exactly French, though...

"Yes." A strange look emerged on Alivia's face.

"I know that voice." She whispered.

"And I know yours." I looked up to face the voice, to see Sofie standing on a balcony, her face cold like stone. She jumped down, somehow surviving the 9 metre fall, and landing in front of us.

"Sofie, I'm sorry. I, um I don't know what to say. I know you told me to trust you but I-"

"Save it, Alivia."

Her face contorted into a scowl, and gave Alivia a stony glare before turning on her heel, her coat catching in the wind.

Definitely too much Sherlock.
