{Em's POV}

"That's my name, don't wear it out." He answered while wiggling his eyebrows. His blonde hair was somehow still perfect, even while in the midst of a battle.
"Oh my gods." I ran up to him, embracing him in a hug. Though I was relieved, I thought it strange how he had got here.
"No, I'm not a god, but I get why you would mistake me for one."
"We need your help." Alivia stated bluntly.
"With what?" He asked oblivious to the fact that there was a battle going on. I thrust my hand in the general direction of the hoards of people brandishing weapons and baguettes with angry faces drawn on them.
"Oh." I grabbed his arm, dragging him towards the battlefield behind the protective shielding of the skeletons. Alivia loaded her bow and aimed at one of the birds supporting Raven, her arrow pinning it against the Eiffel tower. I saw Sofie nudge her and whisper something into her ear, and immediately Alivia's face filled with dread. I felt inclined to ask her what was wrong, but the crowds of mortals and ravens were edging closer and closer, and we had no time to spare.
"Liv, they're going to kill us, so we have no choice anyway." Alivia murmured something back, but a large squawk from a nearby raven prevented me from hearing it. I pulled my sword from its sheath and started to stagger towards the battle before Anthony pulled me backwards.
"Stay here. Getting yourself injured or killed won't help any of us." He said in a stern voice, before letting go of my hand and charging into the sea of mortals. I felt my eyebrows knitting together as I watched Alivia desperately trying not to hurt mortals by stepping on their feet. I clenched the hilt of my sword in my fist and tried to run in a straight line towards the battle. Nobody, not even my boyfriend, tells me what to do. Anthony was near the centre of the frenzy, holding a crossbow in his hands. He suddenly made eye contact with Raven who quickly gave a small nod. Anthony lifted his weapon up, aiming directly at... Sofie.
"Anthony? What are you doing?" I screamed at him. I was too late. The arrow flew threw the air, and even from the distance I was at I could hear it whistle.
"Sofie!! Look out!!!" I heard somebody shout, everything moving in slow motion like a cheesy perfume ad. I lost sight of her, the crowd of mortals covering the path to her. I sliced my sword through the mortals in front of me, and the rest backed away.
Sofie was lying on the ground, but so was Georgina. As Sofie stood up, I was surprised to see no wound.
"Georgina? What are you doing here? Is everyone okay?"
"I smashed open the window and climbed through."
"You could have just opened it," Sofie complained.
I could have almost laughed, but everything was happening at once. Why had Anthony done that? And was Georgina going to fight against us now?
"Just, stay away, okay?" I told Georgina.
I pushed through the crowd, trying to find Anthony again. I saw him weaving through the crowd, so I beckoned him over.
"What the actual hell, Anthony?" I shouted. He pushed me away, causing me to stumble backwards.
"I can't believe you thought a guy like me could ever love somebody like you, Millie." I swore at him, not quite believing it. He knew I hated the name Millie, and it felt just cruel that he would use it against me. I suddenly noticed Sofie standing next to me, who had probably heard the entire conversation.
"I'm not quite done yet, though. I have one last surprise for you, Millie." Anthony grabbed hold of me, and turned me around. At once, Sofie beside me disintegrated, her body forming strange purple ashes on the floor. I screamed, desperately hoping that this was one of my lucid nightmares.
"Oh, hello." A strangely familiar voice called from behind me. Raven was on a hovering platform, standing with some blonde who was wearing a leather jacket and black high heels.
"Aren't clones so fun to mess around with?"
