^^ just cuz i finally updated :-)
The flight seemed even longer than the first, so when we finally landed, I felt more relieved than I ever had.
All of my anxiety was overthrown by the amount of excitement I had to see my parents, sleep in my own bed, and breathe in the refreshing Wyoming air. I knew the car ride home would be an hour or two, so I couldn't be too excited yet because we weren't entirely finished traveling.
It was very clear to me that Calum and Dustin had a really good flight. I wasn't awake for a lot of it, but when I was, I could tell they were enjoying their time together. I had really started to hope they would tell Luke soon, but it really wasn't any of my business and I couldn't tell them to do so. I figured they'd make the decision on their own, so I wasn't worried about it.
Waiting for our luggage seemed like it took a year, and of course, mine was the last one out, so we all had to wait.
"You guys must be really tired," I observed, looking back at the three boys who were huddled, leaning against each other to keep up right.
"I've never been this tired in my life," Calum told me, his voice whiny. "Why aren't you tired?"
"She slept the whole time, that's why. Lana's got some secret power she won't tell me about. She can sleep like a rock at any given time," Luke pouted and I laughed quietly as I rolled my suitcase over to him. We all started to walk toward the entrance and I only continued to get more excited.
"Are we all squeezing in one car?" Dustin asked as he looked over at me. "I don't know if I can do that." He started to shake his head and I looked at him, pitifully.
"Both of my parents are coming, with separate cars. Luke and I can drive with my dad, and you guys can drive with my mom." Calum and Dustin looked at each other nervously, and then looked back at me. "Or... I guess, one of you can ride with my dad and I, and the other can go with Luke and my mom?"
"I call Lana!" Dustin said and Calum groaned, pouting as he glared over at Dustin.
"Fuck you guys," Luke said, glaring at them both. "I want to ride with you," Luke told me and I apologized, but I didn't want Calum or Dustin to feel awkward.
As we got closer to the doors, I saw two familiar faces talking to each other as they stood off to the side.
"Mom! Dad!" My parents glanced over and as they saw me, they smiled widely. They started to run toward me and I dropped my things as I ran toward them. They both wrapped their arms around me and engulfed me in a tight hug as we reached each other.
"Oh, we're so happy to see you," Mom said, kissing my cheek at the exact moment my dad kissed the top of my head.
"Did you have a good time, kiddo?" I nodded up at my dad and smiled widely. I kissed them both on the cheek as we pulled away, and we hugged one more time before they let me drag them over to the boys.
