The next day, I woke up in Luke's arms. It was something that felt nice and something I was glad I was starting to get used to.

I blinked the sleep out of my eyes as I slowly pushed myself up to stretch my back, but almost immediately flopped back down on the mattress. I realized it was fairly dark and I quietly groaned as I realized I must have actually woken up in the middle of the night. I sat up in bed, being careful not to make any sudden movements in hopes to not disturb Luke.

I peered over at the alarm clock to see that it was three in the morning and I sighed to myself as I thought about what I wanted to do. I felt completely awake and was scared I wouldn't be able to fall asleep if I tried, but I also felt like trying couldn't hurt.

I glanced over at Dustin's bed and sighed as I saw him asleep as well. I slowly laid back down and stared up at the ceiling. I suddenly became aware of the light from the TV and became annoyed with it. I got out of bed slowly and tiptoed over to the muted TV to turn it completely off. As soon as I did, though, it became pitch black in the room and I quietly cursed under my breath. I couldn't see a thing and I didn't really know the layout of the hotel room.

I kept walking straight and eventually hit the bed, but it made a really loud sound and I immediately held my breath as the room became silent again. I heard a quiet mumble and some rustling, and slowly made my way to my side of the bed.

"Lana?" Luke asked loudly, startling me. I jumped at the sound of his voice and quickly got into the bed. "Lana?"

"Yeah, it's me," I told him and he leaned forward and grabbed my arm. I could see him faintly, and I was guessing he hadn't gotten completely used to the darkness yet. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."

"No, I just didn't know where you were—it's fine." I smiled to myself and looked down as I inaudibly cooed over him worrying. "What was that noise?"

"I just ran into the bed, I couldn't see," I told him as I began to lay down beside him. He pulled me toward him as I got comfortable and I smiled at him. His eyes were closed and I could tell he was tired, so I decided against saying anything else, wanting him to get back to sleep.

"Are you cold?" Luke asked me after a couple moments of silence. I hadn't really thought about it, but now that he had brought it up, I noticed that I was really cold.

"Yeah, a little," I told him, moving just slightly closer to him. "Are you?" He nodded and I laughed lightly. I pulled the covers further up onto both of us and Luke moved his head closer to mine, letting my forehead rest against his cheek.

"Do you guys want me to turn off the air conditioning so we can go back to sleep?" I jumped slightly at the sound of Dustin's voice and Luke laughed breathily.
