43: you're being a tease, lana
Luke's pov ;)
"Hey, Cal?" I asked as I started to pull Calum to the side. I excused us both and walked him into the kitchen.
"What's up?" Calum asked, seeming nervous.
"Not much. Uh, how did the day go today? With Dus, I mean," I clarified and watched as Calum's body language changed. I was only asking because I knew they had been weird recently. I was scared they weren't actually getting along and they were just trying to make me happy by acting like they were.
"It was fine. He's really good at soccer, I was impressed," Calum told me, seeming more comfortable. I don't know why he was acting so weird before, but he had gotten over it.
I wondered what Lana and Dustin were doing. I glanced over my shoulder at the doorway, but looked back at Calum without a moment passing.
"Yeah, he's really good. We should all go out to the field sometime, it would be fun," I suggested and Calum nodded, clearly liking the idea.
"So, you guys ran into Cass?" I nodded and sighed as I took a seat at the table in Calum's kitchen. "How was she?"
"She was fine," I told him as I rubbed my face. "Lana acted strange around her."
"What do you mean?" Calum asked, sitting down beside me.
"She got jealous, or something," I told Calum, thinking back to earlier. "It was fine, I don't mind. It was just weird."
"Lana seems chill, something must've happened. Girls pick up on things that aren't even there, you know?" I nodded and we both got silent for a little while. "Maybe Cassidy sent her some secret look that we don't know about."
"Calum, don't be stupid." I sighed and looked over at the doorway again. "I get jealous all the time, but seeing Lana jealous was weird. Lana got upset when she was around Amie and me, but even then she acted like it didn't bother her."
"Was it a bad jealous?" Calum asked me and I shook my head as I smiled a little.
"No, not really. It's kind of bad that I like to think about Lana getting jealous." Calum shook his head at me and I laughed lightly. "But it also makes me kind of sad. I don't want Lana to worry about me thinking about other people, you know?"
"I mean, she's already had to worry about that, Luke. You were considering not ending things with Amie for most of the time you and Lana were flirting. I'm sure all she thought about was how you just thought about Amie." I slowly looked down as Calum spoke and I realized he was right.
"Amie told Lana's parents," I told Calum, knowing I wanted to talk to him about it. Calum's eyes widened as I looked up at him and he looked shocked.
"You're kidding. What happened?"
"Nothing, that I know of. Amie called Lana when we were getting in the car and just kept going on and on. She told Lana they weren't mad, but I don't trust Amie... I don't know, maybe I should."
"Has Lana heard from them? If they were upset, Lana would have heard from them."
"No, she hasn't. It's still weird that they haven't said anything. Why would they believe Amie, you know? They would've at least texted Lana to ask about it. It's just weird, either way."
"Yeah, I agree... was Lana upset?" I shrugged, not really knowing what to say. I had made her upset, so she was upset at the time, but I don't think she was upset about Amie telling her parents. "You need to tell your parents, Luke."
