Luke's pov"I just don't understand why you've already packed three pairs of leggings considering you're only going to be at mine for the next couple of days and it's nearly 95 degrees outside," I stated, neatly stacking the third pair of leggings that Lana had handed me into the duffle bag she was taking for the weekend. "Why aren't you packing shorts?"
"I haven't gotten to my shorts drawer yet," Lana explained, slowly opening the drawer below the one she had previously been pulling things out of. "Here you go." Lana tossed me a pair of blue jean shorts and I sent her a strange look in regards to packing so heavily. "Luke, it's better to overpack than get there and end up with nothing at all." She tossed me another pair of shorts and as I looked at Lana I let a small, breathy laugh escape my lips. "However, if I do get up there and I'm missing something, I will be raiding your closet." I raised an eyebrow at Lana and she nodded before handing me the last pair of shorts she was packing. Instead of tossing them, she walked up to me. After placing the shorts she had given me into her bag, I turned back to her and placed my hand on her waist, gently pulling her towards me.
"Are we done yet?" I asked, wondering how much longer I would have to wait until we could leave.
"Not yet," she told me, a smile playing on her lips that made me more impatient to leave with her. She leaned down and pecked my lips gingerly, pulling away before I could even kiss her back. "We have more packing to do." She turned around and started to walk to her closet, causing me to groan.
"What else could you possibly need to pack?" I asked after falling backward on her bed, and bringing my hands up to my face as I rubbed it tiredly.
"Well, sometimes I don't like to wear shorts, but leggings aren't nice enough, so I have to have jeans," Lana stated matter-of-factly with her back facing me as she rummaged through her closet. "I have a really cute pair, they have rips in the knees, but I can't find them!"
"Well, I'm sure they're in there," I told her through a yawn.
"Hey, don't get tired." Not a moment later, Lana was standing over me and had placed her hand on my chest after adding a pair of jeans to her luggage. "I need you awake."
"I'm not tired," I told her, shaking my head as I smiled up at her. "Promise." She smiled at me and turned around again as she got something else from her closet. As I was sitting back up, Lana added another stack of various clothing items to her duffle bag and finally zipped it up.
"I'll be right back, okay? I need to grab my toothbrush and stuff." I nodded at Lana's words and she sent me a smile before walking out the door. I smiled widely as I fell back onto her bed and I closed my eyes as I thought to myself, occupying my time while she was gone.
