A/N: I didn't realise how long it's been since I updated. I guess finally being on holiday for two weeks has inspired me to do nothing... Plus, I spend my days watching YouTube. Dans newest video, The Story of my Hamster, reminded me of my own escapee hamster, who is unfortunately now dead. I'm still not over it, I loved her.

(Sophie's POV)

Nurses came rushing into the room. They fiddled with machines, asked Gemma a pile of questions which just seemed to confuse her and shooed us out of the room. As we headed to the waiting room where we'd been instructed to go, we found Dan and Phil's YouTube friends walking towards us.

"What's wrong?" Caspar asked us when she saw our lugubrious faces (A/N: Hey, big word! ;) ). We all just stared at him until his face paled dramatically. "What's wrong with Gemma?"

"That's what I want to know," I muttered, taking a seat in one of the uncomfortable hospital chairs. Marcus sat down next to me and put his arm around me, attempting to comfort me. I lent into him as tears started rolling down my face. I looked up, searching for Phil, but I couldn't see him. "Where's Phil?" I asked, my voice strangled.

"I'm here," I heard him say, and he sat down next to me. Marcus got up and left, leaving me alone with Phil as he let me sob into his shoulder.

After all, I had lost my only lifelong companion. It was probably worse than if he lost Dan.

I could only pray I got her back.

"Gemma Danvers?"

I shot up out of my seat and rushed towards the doctor, almost bowling him over.

"Yes? What's wrong with her? Is she better yet? What can I do?" I questioned impatiently, even though I hadn't given him a chance to speak. My friends gathered behind me. I did a quick head-count. There was twelve of us.

"Well, it appears that she has major memory loss, but nothing more serious than her healing injury on her side," the doctor said. "However, she must remain in intensive care incase she suffers from any attacks."

I nodded silently. Dan spoke up from behind me. "Can we see her?"

"She won't recognise any of you, I must warn you. But yes, you can all see her as long as you don't disturb her. Only five of you may enter if you will be disruptive."

"We'll all go," I said at once, and walked past the doctor with everyone trailing behind me.

(Gemma's POV)

I was so confused. I had no idea what had happened to me, where I was, who those people were and who I was. Heck, I hadn't known what gender I was until I assessed that I had boobs.

As soon as I heard the door opening, I snapped my head round to see who it was. It was that girl and two boys from earlier, but they had some other people with them. Nine others, to be exact.

"Hey, Gemma," the girl said in a soft voice, although it was raspy from crying. She had tear tracks down her face, yet she still smiled at me.

"Gemma? Is that my name?" I recalled her calling me that before she left the room. I liked that name. It was alright, I guess.

"It is," she said. "I'm Sophie, we're best friends. And this is Dan, Phil, Marcus, Caspar, Alfie, Zoe, Louise, Jack, Finn, PJ and Chris." Sophie pointed them out in turn. I felt bad for having no idea who they were, but I wanted to find out who I was first. I had already forgotten some of their names.

"How are you feeling?" a boy with a blond quiff asked. What was his name again? Ah, yes, Marcus.

"I..." I stuttered, feeling a bit daunted that I had just been introduced to friends I had no memory of. "I feel okay, apart from the memory loss."

They all took a seat around my bed and I put my pillows in a position behind me where I could sit up comfortably. I felt a burn in my side as I twisted and hissed. I pulled my shirt up and gasped as I saw a huge cut in my side with stitches in and blood oozing out around it.

"Is that where I was stabbed?" I asked, letting go of my shirt so it fell back down. Dan nodded.

A/N: a rather strange place to leave it, but I might update soon. My friend, Sophie, a goth, one of my very best friends is visiting me tomorrow for, like, eight hours. What fun!!
