A/N: okay, I'm mentally scarred. Not saying what. I'm just going to distract myself writing... But I'm really close to 1k reads! Yippee!

I've got a deal. You get me to 1k reads, I'll post the first chapter of A Real Life Ring, my new story :p

(Gemma's POV)

I must have dozed off at some point because I was being roughly shaken awake. "Ugh..." I groaned, trying to go back to sleep.

"We can go home!" Sophie's voice chimed out.

"Home?" I was suddenly wide awake.

"You slept like a log!" Jason laughed. "Come on, lazy bum."

"Don't call me lazy," I grumbled, standing up and stretching.

At la maison (I think that's how you spell it. Sorry, Mrs Garrett)

"At last!" I said, flopping down on the floor. Literally. Someone poked me with their foot until I stood up again. "Carry me!" I demanded, jumping onto Jason's back. He sighed but we made our way up to the library, Luke carrying Sophie after she demanded 'it wasn't fair'.

"What actually happened with Jenny?" Sophie asked as we sat down at the library's table. I tensed slightly.

"The baby's fine, but she's on strict bed rest for a month," David told us. I was relieved.

"Can we..." I thought.

"Whatever it is, no." Jason said. I pouted but his gaze remained firm.

"But I'm BORED!" I complained, sitting on his lap and giving him the puppy-eyes.

"We're all tired and Ethan's injured," Jason said softly.

"Can we go watch Netflix on the swinging bed, then?" I asked. "With popcorn?"

"If you get the popcorn," Jason grinned.

"Yay!" I said running out the room until I stopped under Tanya's (the Librarian) glare.

"Careful!" Luke yelled as I ran quickly down the stairs. I looked back and missed a step.

Yelping, I flew through the air and tumbled, completely unprepared for the painful landing. I skidded across the carpet and my shirt tore, my back getting subjected to a large friction burn. I groaned almost silently, staying perfectly still on my side. Seriously, what had I done to deserve this?

"GEMMA!" Several worried voices cried, feet pattering down the stairs. I just huffed.

"Gem?" Jason said, rolling me over. I yelped and contorted as my bleeding back brushed the carpet. Jason quickly picked me up so I wasn't touching the floor.

"You fool," David told me, shaking his head. "That's the worst friction burn I've ever seen in real life. And the carpet's messed up. Go see Meghan."

"Can't you do something, instead?" I pleaded. Meghan would keep me locked up until next week. David shook his head.

"That needs to be cleaned out. Go on, I'm sure Jason will take you if you ask nicely, and Sophie will get the popcorn." David said, turning and going back upstairs with Ethan as Luke and Sophie went to the kitchens. Jason smiled down at me.

"What are we going to do with you?" He said gently, walking up the stairs. I just buried my head in his chest and tried to block out the pain. Not the worst, but still very bad. I whimpered softly. Jason kissed my head but told me something along the lines of 'it's your fault, shut up.'
