A/N: I thought it'd been ages since I updated, but it's only been... Five days? Is that bad? I don't know, I'm too busy doing nothing and worrying about when I'm actually going to start revising for my exams that are in, like, just under two months. Help.

(Gemma's POV)

It had been two days since I woke, but I still remembered nothing. Dan, Phil, Sophie, Marcus, Caspar and Alfie stayed, but the rest of the original group had gone home, but still visited during visitor hours because the doctors said I could have up to six people staying.

I had learnt a lot about my friends yet Dan seemed, not despairing but sad that I didn't have my memory, as though I was missing something really important apart from my whole life.

"Gemma?" Sophie said, walking back into the room with Phil. They held cups in their hands.

"Yes?" I questioned. Everyone had talked to the doctors without me, and I was wondering what I was missing.

"I bought you a mochachino. It was your favourite drink, you used to buy one from Starbucks every single morning."

"Thanks," I said quietly, processing this information about myself. I had been told that I was not to be told a lot about myself, but instead my friends had to try to 'trigger' me into remembering. I wrapped my hands around the warm cup and sipped. It tasted amazing.

Sophie smiled at me and sat down with Phil after handing the coffee and tea out to everyone.

"Do I have family?" I asked suddenly. Although I had seen all my friends, I wondered if I had a family that cared about me.

"They're coming soon," Sophie replied sadly. "They were devastated to hear about you, but they couldn't buy a plane ticket to fly over yet. They'll be another three days."

"They live really far away?" I asked, confused. "Where do I live?"

"They live in Scotland, even though you are all as British as fish and chips. You live with me in London, where we are now."

"In an apartment," I said without thinking. "You insisted on painting it bright green, but I made it cream instead."

Everyone stared at me in shock. "You remember?!" Sophie exclaimed. I thought, before shaking my head. I couldn't think of anything else about my life, but that was something.

********the next day********

"Hey," I greeted everyone as the six of them trailed in after another consultation with a doctor about me, without myself present. Humph.

They all grinned at me and sat down, looking extremely happy. "What's going on?" I questioned suspiciously. It didn't help when they just grinned wider, if that was possible.

A doctor walked into the room and looked at me and the Cheshire cats surrounding me. "Miss Danvers, you can be released from hospital after a few tests," he explained.

I stared at him in shock. Where would I go? I only had my friends, and I had no idea where I lived.

********after tests***********

I limped beside Sophie as all the boys each carried a small suitcase full of clothes, toiletries, my medicine and other bits and bobs. She dragged me into a waiting taxi (which was a minibus to fit all of us in) as the luggage was placed into the boot.

I looked out of the window as streets flashed by, none of them familiar in any way.

"Do I have a phone?" I mused, contemplating having my own possession. Sophie nodded and rummaged around in a small bag before pulling out a phone and handing it to me. I pressed the power button and looked helplessly at the screen as it asked for my pass code.

Sophie smiled and tapped in my pass code, whispering what it was to me before handing it over to me. I smiled at her in thanks and started browsing my phone. A little while later, I found myself playing "flappy bird", much to Sophie's amusement as I had apparently totally lost any 'flapping skills' as Sophie put it.

A little while later, Alfie tapped my arm. I looked over at him. "We're here," he said, before climbing out of the car. I undid my seatbelt and followed him. In front of me was a block of flats. Sophie pulled me inside and everyone else followed.

As we were standing in the lift, I tried to remember what 'home' was like. I couldn't remember anything, but I didn't want to ask. If I didn't know, it should be a surprise.

"Ready?" Sophie asked after unlocking our front door. I nodded in apprehension but Marcus snuck up behind me and slipped a hand over my eyes just as Sophie opened the door.

"Marcus!" I whinged, wanting to see my home. I almost heard his smile as he frog marched me into my apartment. There, he let his hand go and I opened my eyes.

I was home.

Home.

And I remembered... Nothing.

A/N: was that a cruel place to leave it? I'll be updating soon, or at least working on the next chapter. I want to let Gemma remember, but I'll do it gradually, then all at once, I think. I haven't got a plan, I make up everything as I go along. Do you think it would be better if I planned it?
