A/N: I'm about halfway through the first topic out of 25 in my first subject out of thirteen. What fun. And I discovered that I only have five weeks until the exams, not two months. Kill me, please. (Don't actually)

(Sophie's POV)

"Hello, internet," I said to the camera. I knew that I lacked my usual enthusiasm, but our subscribers would already know something was wrong from the absence of Gemma.

"As you can tell, this is not an ordinary video. I'm also fully aware that we haven't uploaded in over a month, nearly two. Why, you ask? Gemma... She was in an accident."

"I don't know how much she would be comfortable with me sharing, but the old Gemma would want almost everything revealed. So, I'm going on that."

"Nearly two months ago, a man broke into our apartment. Without going into gory details, Gemma was bound and... Stabbed..." I heard my voice crack, but I knew I had to carry on.

"One of her lungs was pierced and she... She fell into a coma for a month. But she didn't wake up as the old Gemma. The doctors told us that, when trying to wake up, part of her brain shut down and... Gemma forgot everything."

I felt tears well up in my eyes and one rolled down my face. I wiped it away furiously, trying to stay strong. After all, she was fine - physically - now, and the viewers needed to know.

"She didn't even know her name, she forgot me, Dan, Phil, YouTube, her family, you, everything. She doesn't know this channel exists, she doesn't know YouTube exists."

I cleared my throat roughly and carried on, "When she did wake, it was a few days before she was released. Unfortunately, she is in no position to carry on with this channel, I'm hardly able to. I might upload a few videos over the next month, but nothing will happen like usual until Gemma remembers."

"I hope you understand that this is a hard time in our lives, and that you will support us. If not, fuck off, I don't care," I bit my tongue. I had never sworn in a video before, but I couldn't care less.

"I might see some of you around, I don't know. Just to inform you, all meet-and-greets are cancelled until further notice. Bye!"

I turned the camera off and uploaded it onto my computer, where I proceeded to cut off me turning the camera on and sitting down, and at the end, added the end screen and called it finished. I buried my face in my arms after uploading it and tried not to cry.

"Hey, it's okay," I heard a voice from behind me. Phil. I didn't bother to move and concentrated on not crying.

He spun me round on my office chair, picked me up and carried me to my bed. Phil lay me down under the covers when the door opened and Alfie came in quietly, leaving a cup of tea at my bedside, just how I like it. I heard Phil mutter thanks to him before he left. Phil must have texted him before he took me here.

Phil wrapped his arms around me and hugged me. I let out a choked sob, refusing to break. He held me close and said, "Just let it all out."

I couldn't help it anymore and I started sobbing into his shoulder as he stroked my hair.

"Why... Why wasn't it me?" I sobbed. "It's all my fault. If I had dealt with him whilst she rung the police, she wouldn't be like this..."

"Don't say that," Phil said firmly. "It is not your fault. And... I couldn't bear it if you were stabbed but never did wake up..." His voice trailed off.

"Look, Gemma is fine," he told me. "She's fine, and so are you. Gemma may not remember at this moment in time, but she will, trust me."

"But..." I stuttered before giving up and allowing him some time to make me drink my tea. After I had finished, he lay me down and kissed my forehead.
