A/N: do you remember in chapter 15, I said that the night before the exams started, I would probably be cramming in as much revision as possible? Guess what? I was right! If you have exams coming up, I suggest you revise well for them. Seriously. Alfie told us to in one of his most recent videos, I think it was the 'I'm pregnant!" one. He's right...

(Gemma's POV)

I took the camera off Sophie as Andrew finished explaining the rules and what to expect. I switched it on.

"Hello, it's me," I started. "We're just about to start, I think, and I'm sooo excited. I believe Sophie showed you how high up it was."

Andrew started leading us up a ladder and I scrambled not to fall behind. "Hang on," I told the camera, strapping it to my belt where they would have a charming view of my upper half ascending the ladder.

I quickly turned it off and took out a mini camera that didn't have brilliant visuals but was great for times like this. I got the strap to go round my head. It was designed to sit on top of one ear, with several rope things holding it in place around the head.

I began by turning around in a full circle so the camera filmed everything around us.

We were hooked into our harnesses and shown the emergency ladders attached to every tree so we could get down at any time. We were very far up.

Sophie also took out one of these video cameras, so we could do a split screen of both of us. I had planned carefully, we would do me on the left, Sophie on the right and several others in turns at the top. Most of the YouTubers there had one of these cameras at my request.

"Are you ready?" Andrew asked us.

We all nodded or said our consent. "I can't hear you!" Jason teased us.

"YES!" We all screamed, very, very loudly. Many people looked up from the ground and chuckled.

(Sophie's POV)

"Now, if you attach both of the hooks to the rope here in the order you want to go around the course in. Remember, always have one of the hooks attached. I don't need to be claiming insurance for you."

I shuddered at the thought. After Andrew, Phil went first, because I didn't want to, then me, then Gemma, then Dan, then Marcus, then Alfie, then Caspar, Gaby, Zoe, Joe, Louise, Jack, Finn...

I couldn't see that far back because we had already started to ascend another ladder that was in a wooden tube so we couldn't see down. Probably for the best, I was getting a little light-headed.

"You okay?" I heard Gemma whisper from behind me. I nodded a little, looking back to smile at her. I wasn't going to let my fear of heights hold me back.

"Anyone here have acrophobia?" Andrew asked. I raised my hand timidly.

"You still good?"

I nodded. "I'll be fine. No way am I going to let a fear of heights get in the way of my birthday."

Andrew smiled and wished me a happy birthday before turning to the first obstacle. There was several narrow beams attached horizontally between two trees ascending steeply.

"There's two ways to do this course," Andrew started. "The easy way or the hard way. The easy option is still fairly challenging."

"The easy option is to pull yourself from one beam to the next, sitting down maybe," Emma spoke up from the back of the group. "The hard way, is to jump. Quickly. One foot on a beam and run."
