3rd person P.O.V
"Keep moving forward?" a baffled squad asks their leader as they head towards the forest rather than turning back to the safety of the walls. "Yes. Head into the forest of big ass trees." Levi says simply, not looking back towards his fellow scouts as he pushes his horse forward.
(y/n) closes her eyes tight and holds them like that for a few seconds, an uneasy feeling bubbling in the pit of her stomach yet she doesn't question her brother's orders, well, out loud anyway. 'I don't understand what we are doing. The female titan is right on our heels, she'll be able to catch up for sure with that speed. However, I guess we do have the advantage of being able to move around the forest with more ease than her.' so many things flood her thoughts; why would Levi and Erwin put them in danger like this? No, they must have a plan, they wouldn't risk so many valuable lives... Would they?
"Don't question his orders. Keep riding. He wouldn't let anything happen to you..." the newest member of the squad mumbles to herself with new found determination. Pushing forwards, her horse gallops next to Eren's in the formation; (e/c) eyes glinting with the strength in her soul, she's going to take down this bitch of a titan, even if it's the death of her, she's going to be the one to kill her.
The squad is engulfed by mother nature as they enter the forest, trees taller than titans themselves. They ride forward, all scared for their lives but trusting their leader with those lives. Female titan not far behind, gaining on them quickly.
However, the surrounding forest grows silent all of a sudden, just the sounds of heavy breathing and the galloping of each horse. 'Have we lost her? Has she vanished? She's definitely a titan shifter like Eren, maybe she has left her titan form?' and in that very second, the figure of the titan leaps overhead; directly over (y/n) and Eren. Their mouths sit agape with complete shock at her ability to move such a large body so silently through a place were the slightest of sounds are easy to hear! The newest female recruit shuts her mouth as soon as she notices, yet she hears a gasp and slight yelp escape through Eren's lips.
(y/n) looks at Eren's expression, she knows he wants to fight, so does she, that's their natural instinct! The female titan is after them, it makes sense! However, the new recruit knows better, "Trust your team. That's what we have to do, leave them to it, they know what to do." (y/n) says in a monotonous voice, Eren tries to argue back, saying "But I'm strong enough to stop her!" To which (y/n) simply replies with "No you're not." She can see the fury growing in Eren's eyes with this response.
Levi seems to over hear this exchange, as well as Petra, who decided to tell Eren and try to convince him to trust his team! However, Levi interrupted Petra's attempt to convince the titan boy to let them handle it, and starts giving a speech about how it's his decision, but he has to choose correctly. They all wait eagerly for Eren's reply, they can all see him debating it in his mind, and once a conclusion has been reached, the boy shouts "OKAY!" saying he'll trust his team, making Petra's eyes gleam as she puts on a confident smirk, ready to take down this titan. (y/n) also gives a slight smirk, saying to Eren "Shocking. You actually made a reasonable decision for once." The boy just rolling his eyes in response.
The survey corp's plan plays out how they wanted, they capture the female titan, shooting arrows tied with rope into her jn any places, restraining her abnormally strong body. As Levi leaves to find out how everything's going, (y/n) takes the opportunity to take a closer look at the colossal beast close up.
Getting off her horse and making her way towards said titan, the cadet with the remarkable skill to control titans, places a hand gently on the skin of the titan and closes her eyes. Searching deep inside the titan shifter's head, (y/n) keeps digging until it seems as if she's somewhere else. Once again trapped in a world inside a head, she hears sobbing, so of course follows the noise, "Perhaps that's her". Approaching a curled up figure, she can't tell who it is, it's so dark she can just about make out a silhouette. " Hey, I know what you're up to…" her speech cut short by that oh so familiar screech. Trying to fight off the want to let go, the cadet pushes on. "I KNOW WHO YOU ARE! YOU DONT HAVE TO KILL US!" she declares over the noise, causing it to grow louder! With regret, (y/n) let's go of the titan's skin quick before the noise threatens to knock her unconscious once again!
Opening her eyes once more, she notices people trying to cut out the person who lies within the titan's neck, yet, with great ability, this titan shifter manages to crystallise the area where her body lays in an immobile state, unable to protect herself in any other way. Being ever so curious about these beasts because of her ability, (y/n) shoots her gear in the direction of the other soldiers who are trying to break this diamond. The need to study this further grows as she gets closer, eventually standing on the diamond skin. "Fascinating, she has great skill in protecting herself. That must be why she's so talented in keeping me out of her head. A smart one unlike Jaeger who has no capability of protecting himself in such ways." The cadet mumbles to herself, crouching down and biting her lip as she knocks on the skin. "Yeah, you're going to have to wait it out. She can't hold this forever, can you Annie?" She yells to Levi, making the last bit unheard.
"Only I know your identity, I won't reveal who you are until you do something completely terrible. But, I trust you Annie, you know how valuable these lives are, you know you shouldn't take them away, right?" All of this being spoken in her mind, only so the titan girl herself can hear. "I'm going to wait you out Annie, just try me." A stoic expression sitting on her face as she moves from the body to the tress above, not fully knowing what this Female titan is willing to do, to get her own way.
