It's been a week. A whole week and I haven't told Max. I'm going to tell him today...
"Max... wanna get lunch?" I asked him.
"Yeah let's go."
I drove us to this little diner and we ordered our food.
I took a breath and said "Max. I have something to tell you."
"What?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.
"But please Max... don't leave me." I said.
"Are you cheating?" He asked.
I felt tears well up and I said "what? No. I love you."
"Sorry babe... I just got nervous." He replied.
"It's fine... but please Max don't leave me." I said.
"I won't." He assured me.
"Max. I'm pregnant." I said.
He just stared at me blankly like he didn't understand. He didn't even say anything.
After 2 minutes I figured he was mad so I stood up and left. I walked to Jess's house and the tears came.
"Jess what do I do? He hates me." I said when she opened the door.
"What'd he do?" She asked.
"Nothing. He did nothing! What will I do! I have to do this on my own!" I answered.
"I'm here Riley. I'll watch him or her whenever you need. I'll be he aunty they don't have okay?" She said.
"Okay." I said taking a breath.
I can't abort it. It's my child.
It's been 3 days and Max has been calling and texting me but I never answer. He doesn't want to help me. He doesn't love me.
Jess's mom came to me and politely kicked me out. I mean, I understand I'm there a lot.
I walked home and knocked on the door.
Max answered and hugged me.
When he pulled away I just stared at him, shocked.
"Babe, I wasn't mad at you. I was shocked. Now I'm not and I'm so happy babe! I want this baby and where gonna be amazing parents. Now please forgive me." He said.
Well fuck. Now I feel stupid.
"It's fine babe. I'm sorry too. I love you." I said and he pulled me into a hug. He spun me around yelling, "I'm going to be a dad!" I was laughing so hard at his stupidity.
"What about school?" I asked him.
"It's done in 4 months. You can finish right?" H asked.
"Yeah." I replied. "I'll wear baggy clothes when the bump comes in." I continued.
Max was just smiling at me and looking at my stomach.
"Fuck, I love you so much." He said.
"I love you so much too." I replied.
