Chapter 4 New Academy

Ionna's pov

"Mom? Why do you look so anxious?" Keith asked while stirring her juice

My  forehead wrinkled before I can answer. "You're asking me why I'm anxious?" she stopped stirring and stared at me, "I just received a message from your aunt Ionna that you, Kayla and Christy bullied Kaira and I didn't raised you for that!" I exclaimed before slapping her face

Her grip on the spoon tighted as her expression began to change. Keith's eyebrows met and her nose wrinkled. I saw her clenching her fist.

"Ma! Ako yung nasaktan hindi si Kaira!" sigaw niya at halos mapaos na

"KAIRA! KAIRA! KAIRA! She's always your priority! Don't blame Kaira! Don't hurt Kaira! Be friends with Kaira! Treat Kaira nicely! Kaira is a good girl! I'm gonna ask you a question" she paused, "who is your daughter between us? Huh! It's me! I should be your priority, MOM!" she shouted and stood up

Tears start falling from her eyes before I can even speak. She dropped the spoon hardly and was slightly bended. This was the moment I realized that because of my mission, I almost forgot that she's my daughter.

All I can do is to stare at her back as she fade away from my eyes. I'm sorry Keith. I was too harsh on her while protecting Kaira. I thought that I was doing the right thing.

I saw a paper lying in the floor. Maybe she dropped this and is somewhat important. I picked it up and stunned by the first sentence written on the well designed piece of paper.

"Happy birthday! I love you so much <3"

She made an effort to make me this simple yet meaningful card and I messed up with her. I was too focused on the protocol that I also forgotten about my birthday.

I smiled and my tears raced to get out from my eyes. She bullied Kaira for a reason and that's to grab my attention to her. I wasn't able to say I love you to her as soon as I was chosen to be a part of a mission.

I climbed up stairs while holding the paper gently. I paused for a minute in front of her door to think of what should I do.

I knocked 3 times and the door opened widely. I was embraced by a warm hug from my sweetheart.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to talk back. I'm very very sorry" she said while sobbing

I tapped her back gently and hugged her back. "No need to be sorry. Just do the right thing and your wrongs will be corrected"

Then I remembered the last part of her letter. Even though I stayed at the dark path, your still in my side and try to lighten my path so I can see the beauty of doing the right thing.

Kaira's pov

"Mom, we can't just leave because I tried to avenge my self. It was just once. Only once. The principal is obviously over acting the situation" I said while putting my clothes inside my bag

"She's not over acting, that was actually planned" she said while sustaining her calm smile

"Planned? Explain it" I insisted

Mom stopped at folding my clothes. "Me and the principal planned that if you done something bad, she will immediately expell you so your classmates will not be worried at your sudden disappearance" she said and continued what she was doing

*face palm* "no one will be worried at me" I stated

"No one? Not even your boyfriend?" she asked like I really have a boyfriend

"Mom, I don't have one" I countered

"Huh? Ok?" she unsurely said

After an one hour of preparing...

"Let's go!" dad enthusiastically shouted

It was a cloudy day. We we're actually lucky that we are already traveling when it started to rain. Every raindrops that touched the ground soothe my ears so I was able to relax and eventually fell asleep.

It was so cold until I woke up because of the sweet songs of the birds. I opened my eyes and was astonished by the surroundings. We are in the top of the mountains.

And on the very front of me was a Castle like building that was over shining the tall trees. It was sparkling with well polished sapphire and diamond.

I opened the door of the car and went outside. I closed the door before I started to walk.

I closed my eyes to deeply feel the warmth of the sun. I opened it again when I saw a gigantic bismuth gate that I didn't saw earlier. Maybe it was invisible earlier and somewhat decided to be seen so I can admire it's beauty?

As the magnificent gate opened a man with an ocean hair paired with an aqua eyes was seen. He was walking elegantly with strength and superiority.

The way his bright skin shine with the sun fright me. The smile on his perfect face was as warm as the sun.
