(A/N: I decided to update this early, so enjoy! I also wanted to tell you that my schedule is kind of over, d do while I'll still try to update at least one of my stories once a week, it'll mainly be whenever I have time to update.)
~Meliodas' Perspective~
"Sure would be nice if we had more room to move around." Ban says to me as we stretch in preparation for the upcoming battle. I chuckle. "So what's with the laughing? You really looking forward to fighting with me that much, Captain?"
"I was thinking back to the old days." I tell him. "We had about this much space then, didn't we?"
"It's been a while." Ban says. "Which time are you talking about?"
"Don't worry! 'Cause you'll remember it soon enough." I say as I run behind him quickly, punching him abruptly. The crowd gasps in shock.
"Oh yeah! I think I remember now!" Ban says, the blow barely effecting him.
"This place is built like a fortress." I said to the Holy Knight leading me to where Ban was kept.
"Of course." Said the Knight. "He's the criminal who burnt down the Fairy King's forest four years ago."
"But isn't he still alive even after being executed thirty-three times?" I question, making sure that what I had heard was correct.
"T-That's right." The Knight stutters. "We've tried everything, from beheading to fire. That man isn't human!"
"Really? What a coincidence." I say. The Knight made a small sound of confusion. "Open it." I command, wanting to see the man who was supposedly immortal.
""Huh? Is it time for another execution?" A man with unruly white hair asks, opening his red eyes. "I'm not budging for that kind of hassle. If you want to do it, then just do it here." The door closes behind me, and we're locked in. "Huh? You're just a kid." Ban says.
"Time to step outside, Undead Ban."
After a grueling battle, I walk back to my team mates, who look slightly upset. "Hey guys! Is something wrong? What's with the gloomy looks on your faces?" I ask.
"So, how are you holding up?" King asks me.
"See for yourself." I reply while showing him arm. "Once I clobbered Ban, I felt good as new." Y/N glares at me and mumbled something under her breath. Shortly after my fight, Diane has to run off, but before she goes she hands me a flustered Y/N. "Hey Y/N! How ya doing?" I ask cheerfully as Diane starts her battle.
Y/N looks at me and huffs, saying, "I'm fine. Just smaller than usual." I smile and tuck her into my scabbard, earning a small squeak as she grabs onto my sword. Diane's fight is over, and it's my turn to prove whether I'll be able to make it into the final round or not.
~Y/N's Perspective~
Meliodas walks onto the platform, me in his scabbard. "Captain!" I hiss angrily. "What are you doing?"
"Shh, stay out of sight." Meliodas whispers to me. "I couldn't fight the battle without my lucky charm, could I?" I blush and get to work hiding myself from the view of the crowd. Out of the corner of my eye I see Diane frantically searching for me, and I sigh, wishing that Meliodas could've chosen a different moment for his silly antics.
Meliodas and his opponent seem to have a conversation, but I can't quite make out what they're saying. A few moments later, I'm jostled around a bit, probably because Meliodas had to block strikes. Suddenly, I hear the old man shout, "I'll never forgive what you've done!"
"What possessed you to destroy a whole kingdom!?" I feel the air around the scabbard heat up drastically.
"What possessed you to kill all my people!?" More heat, some of hit seeping in around me, which causes me to press my back up against the leather back of the scabbard.
