RUKKAYYA
"Babe Kinga six packs? Ya salam!" Zuwaira said with enthusiasm. She had been at it for several minutes.
"Zuzu please leave me alone, will six packs put food on my table?"I blurted.
"You are still just a baby, I don't even know why I bother to tell you all this! You won't even understand!" Zuwaira said with a hint of disappointment.
Zuwaira Amin was my best friend. I had known her since primary school although we didn't get along back then. However, we became fast friends in JSS 1. We have been inseparable since then. We both got admission in Federal University Of Technology to study Entrepreneurship. We were both in our final year.
"Yes I like being a baby," I retorted.
Zuwaira is crazy about guys who work out. She almost drools at their sight which is something that greatly irritates me. Its just so ewww! Zuwaira is especially crazy about rich and handsome guys much to my dismay. Okay Zuzu is not crazy, if at all anyone is unusual it would be me because I basically have zero interest in guys. I just have better things to do other than drool over guys...What is the point anyway?
"You do realize that you are not getting any younger right?"
What does she mean? I am just eighteen...okay I will turn nineteen in about two months.
"No one gets any younger so please!" I said brushing my hands off in the air as if her words were visible.
"I am serious fa! See I will soon be getting engaged in shaa Allah and I don't want to get married while you are still in this little bubble of yours!"
Here we go again! Do people pluck husbands from trees? come to think of it I really don't know how people find husbands.
"I can't wait for your wedding!"I said enthusiastically. It was a safe way to bolt out of her 'lecture'.
"Oh lord!" She said exasperatedly.
I smiled mischievously knowing I had successfully won her over.
