"Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit."

OMNISCIENT
Rukkayya did feel out of place, however with her new life came new responsibilities that she knew she would have to warm up to. If she hadn't been needed there, she wouldn't have been taken on a business trip, she knew that.
The gala night was well attended even though she was a stranger to nearly all of them, some she remembered meeting during their wedding. it wouldn't have looked good for Ahmad to attend the event solo.As an afterthought she wondered how many 'Sadiya's and Hafsat's' were present at the gathering. Since she was already getting her ears filled with a potential one. The lady appeared nice and blunt too, however all her questions had absolutely nothing to do with the 'Ruk' and all to do with the 'mad'. It turns out more people were curious as to how she managed to 'tie down' a young millionaire like him 'overnight'. She even wondered if Rukkayya had been a casual fling that lasted a 'little longer.'
When she tried to think of what 'a little longer' meant, something in her gut tightened. All of a sudden, feeling suffocated, she searched for the subject of her interrogation. When her eyes finally settled on him, her heart sank as she found a gorgeous lady laughing from ear to ear. The sound of the people talking to her sounded distant. Without thinking, she made her way to them.
Maybe its one of those situations where he needs help. She tried convincing herself, but a voice within her mocked her naivety.
"The pleasure is mine," Ahmad spoke just as she reached where they stood.
Whatever 'pleasure' they were arguing about, they'd have to add that of her arrival to it.
"Hi," Rukkayya says placing herself next to Ahmad her shoulder's sightly touching his rib cage. She pretends to be oblivious of the lady standing before them.
"Hey!" Ahmad replies smiling at the same time placing a protective hand over her shoulder.
"I got bored on my own so I came to find you."
Ahmad replied with a warm smile that only broke off when Zeenah spoke.
"You must be the wife...Hello, I'm.."
"That's me!" Rukkayya shook her head in affirmation. "Its nice to meet you."
Much nicer to have interrupted you.Zeenah sure felt the biting remark, cleared her voice and spoke again. "I am Zeenah Ahmadu Rumfa, daughter of the chief executive officer of 'Rumfa groups."
Rumfa groups... Yes, the Rumfa groups owned by a Hausa business man based in Lagos mostly known for dealing in building materials but over the years expanded his business to include textiles.
