The first thing that crossed his mind after he got the text was unpleasant but she had him in a fix. There was little he could do about that. The clients wishes have to be respected - that was what he'd always preached to his subordinates. The text had simply said there were things she wanted to change. He tried calling her after that but it went straight to voice mail.
As Ahmad walked briskly in to Green leaves restaurant, a hand left of where he was waved at him catching his attention. He quickly made his way there. Something within him was not at peace with the sudden summon.

Why is the restaurant so empty at twelve in the afternoon?

"What's the problem?"

"Oh come on, where are your manners?"
Ahmad sighed as he pulled out a chair for himself.

"What's the issue Miss Kassim?"

Hafsat smiled. "Actually, Mr Modibbo, I had a change of heart last night. Your sketch was very good but I'd like to change it up a little bit. This office space here," She pointed to the blue print before her "is a bit too big, I'd like us to make provision for a dressing room."

Ahmad looked away from the blue print to her. "You want a dressing room in your office?"

"Would that be a problem?" Hafsat asked raising an eyebrow at him. Ahmad figured she could have a thousand and one thoughts going through her mind.

"Not at all Madam, I'll see to it. Now if you'll excuse me," Ahmad started to get up, Hafsat mimicked his actions too.

I see the wild cat is acting all professional today, interesting.
Within a split second, she appeared to have lost her footing and fell to the floor in what couldn't have been painless.

"Subhanallah! Hafsat are you alright?"
Ahmad was beside her almost immediately.

"What happened?" he asked as he gave her a helping her. However the pull did not go as expected, before he could register what was going on, something pressed against his lips with an urgency he didn't anticipate. For a moment he was back in his London apartment with the troubled lady.

First, there was confusion which was gracefully replaced by shock. Somewhere in between those two, he got lost in the heat of the moment but a distant memory, a subtle dip knocked senses back in to him and he pulled away as if he was consumed by blazing fire.

"Inalillahi wa inna ilayhir rajiun!" Ahmad exclaimed as he exited the place.

As he gets in to the car, the incessant vibration from his pocket made him stop. Ahmad fetched the device from his pocket only so he could decline the call. Nevertheless the name that on his screen had him thinking twice. It was long overdue.
