Cole POV
It's been one week ,one week since my date with Lili. The 10 august 2016. A night I will never forget. A perfect night with a perfect girl.
I was so nervous about it like ridiculously nervous , like a hormonal teenage boy thinking about asking his crush out.
I spent the whole afternoon deciding what to wear and contemplating 'what ifs? What if she bails on me last minute , what if she doesn't like me , what if what if...
But the biggest 'what if' and the constant fear that raced through my mind was of her thinking I'm a douche or a player who just wants some kind of fling.
When I arrived at her apartment, she looked breathtakingly beautiful. Her long blonde hair had been straightened, but I could not stop staring at those great big green eyes , you can't help but fall in love with them.
We headed down the stairs and into my car and drove the short drive to 'The Orchard ' a phenomenal Italian restaurant in Downtown LA.
When making the reservation I made sure to get 'Table number seven' the best table in the whole restaurant. I've been to 'The Orchard' with my my dad and Chrissy my stepmother several times and the best table by far is Table number seven. The ambiance of the spot is very romantic.
Its close to the kitchen so you can smell the aromas of the food being cooked but not to close where you hear the head chef giving out to the sous chef about chopping the onions to small. This happened in Spring 2015 while sitting at table number fourteen. Never again!
A candle lit dinner with a beautiful girl. We take our seats and talk for hours about everything from Trump and Hillary Clinton , vacations and Coachella. She mentioned that she hasn't traveled much but would love to see more of the West and East coast and travel more around Europe. I decided right there and then that I was going to show this beautiful girl the beautiful world that was around her.
When the restaurant began to close for the night , we payed the bill splitting it halfway as Lili refused to let me pay the full thing. As we entered the outside world, we both gaze up at the midnight sky above us. A fall night luminous with starlight , the moon full and bright.
I lean into kiss her in the darkness as if she is the light guiding me home. We kiss, our lips touching in a soft and slow comforting way.
I reluctantly release and gaze at her porcelain skin.
We kiss again, her lips were warm and tasted of mint , she must have slipped in a piece of gum after eating. I wrapped my hands around her waist and hers lock around my neck pulling me down slightly. When we broke apart for air she rested her her forehead against mine as we gather some much needed oxygen , her smirk told me everything I needed to know so I grin back.
As we walk towards my car and have a brief discussion about celebrity crushes I tell me her mine - Jennifer Aniston as we walk up the flight of stairs to her apartment she opens the door and whispers " Cody Martin " She giggled as she thought her joke was hilarious. She closes the door and whispers goodnight blowing a kiss. I say goodbye winking back at her.
All of that was one week ago and now I'm heading to her apartment once more but this time to help her pack for Vancouver. As we begin filming next week.
I arrive at her apartment at ten past three, she told me to be over at three but I had to make a quick stop at Target for a bottle of Mountain Dew. She opens the door and smiles what took you so long she laughed. I had to get this I present her with the bottle of Mountain Dew.
" Oh Cole , you really do pay attention," she says.
" I try, I guess" I respond blushing a little.
She heads into the kitchen bringing the Dew with her.
"Do you want some?she says ,"I don't have any glasses they are all packed away"
"Sure why not " I say
She takes out two wine glasses and pours the Mountain Dew into the glasses.
"Drink your Dew with class" she laughs at her own joke.
" cheers " I laugh admiring her beauty.
We begin with the living room and kitchen area. Packing boxes and taping them shut. Lili turns on some music a playlist of all the songs from the early 2000s'. From The Spice Girls to Sean Kingston. She is dancing all around her apartment she's awful but it is absolutely adorable to look at.
We then head move to the bathroom cleaning it up one last time. The song All Star comes on a classic in my opinion. Lili grabs the toilet plunger and begins to sing.
"Hey now you're an All Star"
I let out a laugh , I'm loving this. I pick up a toothbrush and begin to sing along.
"Get your game on ".
We continue singing in unison while laughing hysterically. We carry on dancing, singing and cleaning till about six o'clock when Lili blurts out that she's hungry. I smile at her and suggest Taco Bell. She giggles and takes out her phone and rings the number.
While we are waiting for the phone to be answered Lili asks me what I want I tell her that I want.
" A beefy five layer burrito!" I announce
She laughs "Hi can I have two beefy five layer burritos please!"
They arrive a short time later. We eat our burritos and chat until early hours. After a while I decide to get up as it's time for me to leave. She gets up and throws her arms around me and hugs me tight.
" See you soon Cody "
I give her a quick peck on the cheek and tell her I will text her later.
As I leave the apartment block I gaze up at her apartment and promise myself that I will never let this goofy , clever and beautiful girl go as she is the one...
The one for me...
