The Lightfolk watched as the Witchfolk entered into the World of Light. Samantha enjoyed watching their expressions as they looked around this New World for the first time. Wonder overcame their faces. She and Tyler had truly created an astonishing place. It had no parallel.
Tyler and Samantha led the Witchfolk to their pieces of land. They would be intermingled with the Freefolk. Partly to help oversee how the Freefolk adapted to actually having to obey some rules. Most of the one hundred Witchfolk were a part of a family unit of four or five people. They would live together and their numbers helped them use their magic effectively to create their houses and all that they wanted inside. If they wanted, they could make their area larger with their magic as well.
Sonya and Adam followed the last group of Witchfolk to their piece of land. The four Lightfolk walked away with some satisfaction. "Do we have enough servants for everyone?" asked Sonya.
"We collected enough for each family unit to have five servants at anyone time," said Tyler. "We will monitor everyone's progress and make adjustments where necessary." Sonya nodded her head.
"I was at the Human Village this morning and they all seem mostly content so far," observed Adam. "There are some whispers about what they perceive to be "odd happenings", by which I assume they are referring to our magic. We need to keep an eye on that as well. We don't want a Salem happening in the World of Light."
"Indeed not," agreed Samantha. "At some point we should probably have a meeting with them and give them some information. Small groups would be best."
"I think we should do it soon," said Adam. "I didn't really like the looks they gave me as I approached. An uprising would only give the Freefolk the excuse they need to use force with the Humans."
"That would not go well for anyone, given the symbols we've used to ensure good treatment of the Human population," worried Tyler. "If some kind of war broke out, there would be only four of us left to deal with the Humans... and they would out-number us rather significantly."
"There are currently twenty-five Witchfolk families in the World of Light. That means we have 500 Humans. We are already outnumbered by quite a large amount. Once the Freefolk arrive..." said Adam.
"Yes. The number of Humans will increase dramatically. When do we suppose the Freefolk will be arriving? I haven't heard from them yet," said Samantha.
"Perhaps they were.... annoyed when they learned that they would have to stay out once they were kicked out," murmured Adam.
Samantha raised an eyebrow, "That was necessary."
"Perhaps. Necessity won't make it a popular decision though.
"Trust me," persisted Samantha. "They will respect us all the more for it. I've seen their world. They have their violent tendencies. Death is not something they only see once in a blue moon. Their people don't usually die of old age." Adam's mouth was a thin line, but he nodded his head. A dubious agreement to be sure, thought Samantha. "Are we good, Adam? I know you disagree with me on this, but I need to know that you have my back no matter what."
