Jakes pov

It was 3 in the morning and I know I told Grace I would stop my old ways but money calls and my daughter needs diapers. I snuck out of our bed and over to the dresser to pull on a hoodie. I found a pair of jeans that were laying on the floor and pulled them on. She looked so peaceful with Nevaeh in our bed I had to do things for them.

I closed the bedroom door behind me and Rico was standing outside my door leaned up against the wall. He had on all black and his hair was pushed back behind a beanie. We were going to run a drug deal in a bad part of downtown Chicago. It was the best money though.

"You got it?" I asked

"Yeah it's right here" He said pulling it out of his hoodie pocket

Two big bags of cocaine laid their. These dudes were a west side gang and we didn't really fuck with them. Now that all the gang shit is over Rico our on our own now with making money and we don't got a team to come save us if we need it.

"Good $2,000 bucks here we come" I smirked

We slowly snuck down the stairs because I didn't wanna wake anyone up. We looked suspect leaving the house at this time and we were. We got outside into the cold air and bolted to the car. Rico blasted the heat while I slowly pulled out of the driveway with my headlights off.

"You know where your going?" He asked

"Yeah Rico we grew up in Chicago" I laughed

"I know but I'm just making sure"

"Don't be so nervous Rico you were in a gang" I laughed

"Yeah but we had backup it's just you and me Jake"

"Bro everything's gonna be fine, you got your gun?" I asked

He nodded and continued to look out into the dark streets. It was a risky thing because we were delivering to a gang but we had guns we were prepared for a fight.

We pulled into the alley way where the deal was going to take place. I looked around and didn't really see anyone standing around waiting. I looked at Rico and his shirt was up a little.

"Bro pull your shirt down, hide your vest" I whispered

Rico looked down and pulled his shirt over the black bullet proof vests we were wearing just in case anything went down. We were walking down the alley and Rico had the coke still in his hoodie pocket. I had my hand on my gun and we went into the light at the end and a blonde haired kid who was kinda short had all blue on and I exchanged looks at Rico. I knew this kid we all did, I just wasn't sure if he knew us.

"You got the shit?" He asked and I nodded

"Rico" I said

Rico nodded and some other guy who was taller and had brown hair with all black on came into view. I felt like these guys were hiding out all over this alley and we were gonna get jumped any second. He pulled out a roll of money that was thick.

"Show us"

Rico pulled the two big bags out from under his hoodie and they looked at each other and nodded.

"Ash get closer"

Ash was his name. Now I was for sure I knew who he was. He was Aces brother. I didn't know they were in separate gangs. Ash was about 15 and I only seen him a couple times in pictures but never did I meet him. He knew me as being apart of poison not that I was the one who killed his brother. I don't even know what would happen right now if he knew I was the guy.

"This is a couple kilos right?" He asked his blue eyes met my blue eyes and I seen Ace all over him

"Yeah it's all their bro" I said tough

"Good, Max give him the 2 grand, exchange together" He said walking back to where he was before

Rico handed the coke over while he took the money from his hand. Rico looked at it quick while we started walking away.

"Nice doing business with you, can I find you again?" Ash asked

"Yeah just hit my line" I said and he nodded

We exited the alley and I sped off while Rico counted the money in the passenger seat. He smiled as he held all this money in his hands.

"You act like we haven't held more then 2 grand" I laughed

"I know but dam that shit was easy" He smiled

"A little to easy" I said looking in the rear view making sure no one was following us

It was almost 4am by now and I needed to get to the 24 hour target to pick up some stuff for my daughter. I've been trying to keep it on the low about having a baby because I know how these gangs work they'll try and take something from you that you love.

I pulled into the target parking lot and parked in the back of the parking lot. Rico was looking at something in the woods and I didn't know what it was until I seen someone hiding out in the woods.

"Is that Blair?" I asked

"What is she doing here?"
