The Hunters! : Ruby vs Alucard

"Dad, I am so close to see you..." Ruby muttered. She had been trying to search for her dad ever since he was possesed by the Great Wolf Curse and made herself prepped to try and fighter her father. She shook her head as she looked at the map to see where she was at.

"Hey kid." She heard someone behind her. She turned around to see a teenager clad in a blue trench coat with a huge longsword. She narrowed her eyes.

"Oh, I am not a kid but how do I owe this pleasure....Alucard." she replied. Alucard smirked.

"I heard you looking for your pops.." he said. Ruby nodded.

"Yes, I heard he was near Megalith." She said, gripping her sycthe tightly. She knew about Alucard's job...and she would fight him if he was doing it.

"Oh, I also know that."  He replied. "That's why I am hunting him down."

Ruby sighed. "Of'course I knew that..." she twirled her scythe to her side. "That's why I will stop you."

The demon hunter laughed. "That was a good laugh." He exclaimed as he went on a battle stance. "Well, I will not try to roughen you up, Red Hood."

She snarled as she swung her scythe to be block Alucard's sword. She made another strike forward which Alucard side stepped and tried to hit Ruby by the side. The red riding hood swung his scythe, creating a red wave and she took a step back. Alucard  broke the wave easily with a slash of his sword.

"Heh, are you expecting to restrain your father with the powers you have? You are still far too weak.." Alucard mocked. Ruby glared.

"SHUT UP!" She yelled as her scythe went larger. "I'M OFFENDED!" The blade of her scythe went behind Alucard so fast that he didn't react fast enough to get hooked near Ruby. The girl span with her sycthe, hitting the demon hunter, who grunted in pain. Ruby took a step back to assess the damage she dealt.

None. She wide eyed. How was that possible?

"Heh, I told you kid.." She heard him say. "You are still far too weak."

He suddenly disappeared. Ruby's eyes widened before she recieved a hit on the back of her head with the flat part of Alucard's blade. That hard hit made her slam to the ground as she groan in pain. Alucard placed a foot on her back, to restrain her from moving.

"This is how you far you are outclassed." The demon hunter said. Ruby tried to turn her head but Alucard's foot restrained her.

"I don't want to kill you." She heard him say. "In fact, I want to train you."

Her eyes widened. "Train me?"

Alucard smirked. "You have potential to do the Demon's Pact." He exclaimed. "You know how I did not took damage from your scythe swings?"

Ruby nodded despite the position she's in. "Well, that's Demon's Pact and you seem to have a lot more potential than me." He answered simply.

"But...why do you want to train me?"

Alucard sighed and had a faraway look. "I know how it feels to lose your family to a certain source. My family was killed by Queen Alice." He snarled at that name. "And  I swore to myself to kill that damn demon."

Ruby nodded slowly, she already knew about Alucard's agenda with the demon queen. She felt the pressure from her back gone, making her stand up.

"So yeah, I will teach you how to incoporate 'Lifesteal' to your battle style." Alucard said with a smirk. "That will definitely help you fight your father."

"But what about you hunting him down?" She asked, a bit skeptical about Alucard's change of heart. Alucard rolled his eyes.

"I'm a demon hunter, not a human-got- possessed-by-a-spirit hunter." He replied as matter of a fact. Ruby snorted.

"Whatever..." she said before smiling at the demon hunter. "So when you will train me?"

Alucard returned her smile. "Soon, for now..." He went on a battle stance.

"Show me what you have learned so far!" He yelled as he jumped up with a downward smash. Ruby grinned as she intercepted the slash.

It is time for her to learn new tricks before she faces her father.

And to have a rather handsome guy to teach her is just an added bonus.
